This review is for the location in Ranch 99. Bought large sesame pancake for take-out and found at home it has blue fungus growing all over the pancake. It must be ages but they still dare to sell it! Disgusting! Also bought shredded potato and it has no taste at all. Stay away from this place!!!!

I only had takeout here from their stall in the 99 Ranch supermarket. The food is just ok. The same dishes elsewhere are better. I had the chajan mien and the pancake. The chajian mien is a noodle bowl (no broth) with a sauce that has little pieces of beef. The sauce was too salty. Other than the saltiness, it was quite bland. The pancake texture was good. It was thin and lightly pan fried but the taste was also bland.The food was ok, not terrible. If I was craving northern Chinese food and I can't get it elsewhere, this would do.

Note: this review is for their stall in 99 Ranch in Edison, NJ TLDR: will not try again unless a trusted friend has a great experience Had the Jianbing combo as you can't just get a Jianbing by itself. The picture of the Jianbing shows a picture of a fried dough stick, but when it was made, it used the crispy cracker instead. But my biggest complaint was the soy milk that came as part of the combo, it tasted like liquid smoke. The person working there wouldn't replace it or do anything to compensate for the bad soy milk; I took only a small sip as I was unsure if there was sugar in it or not. Ended up just throwing it away. There are 2 stalls selling Jianbing in the food court on US 1; I'll just go there in the future if I want Jianbing.

Randomly decided to try this place while I was at 99 Ranch. Ordered the meat wrap with cumin lamb. Lamb came in what appeared to be a Saran wrap bag and was off questionable color when cooked. Tastewise was not something I would get again. It's edible sure but not exactly enjoyable. The vegetables provided felt old texture wise and flavor was lacking. The lamb was seasoned so heavily that you could taste nothing but cumin and given the color of the lamb I wonder if that was done on purpose. I managed to finish half of it by the time I lost my appetite. Didn't get sick but this is definitely a more eat to life than something to enjoy in my opinion. The combo came with a drink and I chose soy milk. The soy milk tasted like burnt charcoal and I'm not sure how that can be a thing. This was immediately discarded as I could not drink more. A forgettable place that I would very unlikely return to trying.

Price was okay, a little on the overpriced side but considering lack of choices I can live with the mark up. The noodle with minced pork was a failure, noodles were overcooked and the pork tasted like it's been sitting and going bad. Not sure if this has to do with the fact that their new location inside of 99 Ranch just opened up not too long ago, food has been sitting for long. Don't come to this place

I use to go there frequently, but they really sent me gone bad disgusting Jianbingguozi煎饼果å once and without saying sorry or showing regret. I have to let you know my bad experience at here. Real Tianjin resturant are much much much better.

Ordered hot and sour soup, lamb sticks, chicken with garlic and white rice. Good spicy food with good flavors. Reasonably priced and good quiet ambience. Ample parking.

Worst restaurant ever! We ordered three dishes, and there only two comes. We asked the waiter to cancel the order, they said it is in the cook and can not canceled. It takes us another half hour to wait for the third dish, and they did not aware us at beginning it would take that long. The other food here is disgusting!

Very authentic northern Chinese food ... The pan fried open ends dumpling is good! Went there for breakfast ... Food is above average, comparable with same price range restaurant! Good to try and will go again!

Service needs to be improved. Food quality just so so. Nothing impressive at all. If you are in the area for northern Chinese food, and have no other choice, then give it a try. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

beginning feb. 7 and running until the end of the month will be a daily dumpling special (饺å员, i think) in celebration of Spring Festival. i'm not sure if i caught everything the lady at the front was saying, but i think there will be a greater selection of dumplings than the ones normally on the menu. reminder to self to go!
