I was in search of a bakery that made custom cakes for my upcoming birthday party. I read many reviews about this place and even though there are various locations, the positive reviews seem to come from specific locations. So that’s where my journey started. I went to the Somerset location to inquire/purchase some cupcakes just to taste test. The ladies there were so nice and answered all of my questions. I was told the main location was in Edison so since I was still shopping around I chose to visit that location as well. I was helped by a young lady (I wish I remembered her name) who was so professional and informative. She told me someone would email me about my inquiry within a couple of days. 2 days later I received a quote and was ready to place an order. I went back to the Edison location and was met by the same young lady who took her time and listened to my vision. This speaks volumes!!!! Order was placed, I opted for delivery and even the delivery person was wonderful! And this custom cake was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS AND DELICIOUS!!!! You just got yourself a returning customer. Thank you again!
My advice to customers…if you want a custom cake, place the order about 4 weeks in advance. I did that and the process was seamless.

The king cake was delicious! it was odd that the cake wasn't frosted though and unstead came with three packets of colored sugar, but I made my own icing and decorated it myself. Anyway for NJ the King Cake was outstanding.
Update, La Bon gave me a fre King Cake because of the mix up with the first cake. What amazing service and an amazing King Cake. Shop here with confidence, this bakery is the best!

My husband and I visit Eddison often but never noticed this little bakery hidden in the corner of the shopping center. Carolyn was great !!! Loved her customer service and she was so patient with my humor☺️ ( the complaint ..lol ) . This will be on our must stop bye list !!! Treat your if ever in Eddison NJ

Ordered a birthday cake the day before I needed it. Great service. The cake was delicious!! Not overly sweet or excessively rich. Just perfect. The price was reasonable and I will be sure to order from there again. I would also recommend the scones and bread!!
I cannot say enough good things about working with La Bon. They truly went above and beyond to make our dream wedding cake. From the tasting, to the day of, everything was smooth sailing and an enjoyable process. I still cant get over how beautiful the cake was, and our guests continue to rave about how delicious!! Would absolutely recommend them!
