Happy Lamb is always one of my go-to hotpot places when I’m in Edison. The service is usually fast and the staff has always been helpful and pleasant. If you happen to come by one a busy night there can be a long wait time, this is normal for any restaurant and despite the wait time, once you’re seated things move fast and food is brought out in an appropriate amount of time. My only point of criticism would be that if your table orders too many plates of sliced meat at once you may not receive some of the orders. Not a big deal as you can always order more at no additional cost as it’s AYCE.

Good food. Portions are high for each meat: they should have half portions so that we can try all varieties. Service staff could explain better.

I can’t complain about the quality of the food and the revamp of the restaurant which made the experience wonderful. The service on the other hand was not like the many times I’ve been to the restaurant. My server was inattentive, and no where to be found. If the table needed anything I had to search for the server. At the end someone else shoved the check in our faces forcing us to pay without even letting me see the bill and pull out my wallet. Hope it was a fluke as I enjoy coming to the restaurant. But that was just not acceptable service.

Good price
It’s very very reasonably priced. The soup base is a little meh but can’t beat the price

literally the only hot pot place i will go to even if its pricier and it’s all because of the golden cabbage broth. its savory and spicy and a little bit sour and is in my opinion the perfect hot pot broth, i crave it constantly because NOWHERE else has it. their vegetables are also very fresh and crisp and the meat is amazing

This is my 3rd time here. Food is good and service is sufficient. Towards the end of our meal, I decided to look up and noticed very dirty and concerning lamps that are directly above your cooking area.
It is absolutely disgusting since that years worth of collected dust can be falling into your food.
THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP!
The black lamp is what sits above your table, and other pictures are around the interior. The gray cement wall has this dirt/dust film, and the black ceiling vents are packed with compacted film of dust.
The decorative flowers are in the same condition. I feel if you shake them , crap will fall down.
What a shame! Will NOT be visiting again unless this is cleaned and remediated.
No one is cleaning this weekly. This changes above all common food areas well enough each table. Barf!

Unique but Pricey Experience at Happy Lamb Hot Pot
I had a great time at Happy Lamb Hot Pot. The food was delicious, and the concept of unlimited live soup at the table made for a unique dining experience. The service was attentive and efficient, even though the place was very busy.
However, the restaurant is quite pricey, and I wouldn’t recommend it for kids as the setup and menu might not be suitable for them. The smaller space but overall, it’s a worthwhile visit for adults looking for a different hot pot experience.

I used to really love this place but I came back yesterday after not going for almost a year and the place was not what I remembered it being. Aside from the fact that they took some of my favorite items out of the buffet table was one thing but the bowls underneath the jelly station were all visibly dirty with crust and debris inside of them. After seeing this I noticed all of the dust on the lights and how dirty everything was. The rice in the rice cooker was super old and dry and the cooked chicken in the buffet was cold and greasy. To me it just feels like the quality is no longer in the room with us but the price is still at least the same if not more.

They have the worst management. At 12 upon opening, there are so many tables open and there’s only one person helping seating. People have to wait for half an hour at the entrance. It’s freezing!

I came to eat alone. When I went to the self-service counter to get something, they actually took away my pot and all the things. This kind of service is equivalent to that of a restaurant. What can I say? Other happy lambs have never had this kind of service. question

They have updated their menu with new vegetables, new fruits, soups and new hot foods. We love their pig's feet! The best around central Jersey, beating all other Chinese/Korean Buffets.
Plus age 55+ gets the weekday $19 price. With veges more expensive than meat these days, it's a steal!
Great! Easier to order than KPot, plenty of food to choose from. Loved it.
Vegetarian options: Plenty of noodles and tofu to choose

Super salty!
I make rice 2 parts rice, 2 parts water in my rice cooker and itll come out fluffy and amazing.. My son has been making rice fine since he was a Child after school but I guess this restraunt needs a little help? Unless it's Mangolian culture to have dry, brittle, crunchy, completely not-fluffy white rice?? Because if it is, I'll take it back! Honestly I'll change up the review. Just reply to me and tell me that Mangolian rice is usually dry, hard, brittle, completely not fluffy, hard to swallow rice. Let me know! #youlostacustomer
