For our recent business dinner, we chose to indulge in Italian cuisine at a local gem that promised a delightful culinary experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal setting for both professional discussions and relaxation.

We started with the appetizers, which set the tone for an evening of exquisite flavors. The mango calamari was a standout; perfectly cooked with a light batter that offered a satisfying crunch, complemented by the sweet and tangy notes of mango. It was refreshing and unique—definitely not your average calamari! The sausage with broccoli rabe also impressed us; the sausage was seasoned beautifully, providing a savory depth that paired wonderfully with the slightly bitter greens. This dish showcased how well simple ingredients can shine when prepared with care.

For our main courses, we opted for the haddock served over creamy risotto and seared tuna. The haddock was flaky and tender, resting on a bed of risotto that was rich yet balanced—each bite melted in our mouths. The chef’s skillful touch made this dish feel both comforting and sophisticated.

The seared tuna was another highlight; expertly cooked to achieve a perfect crust while maintaining its tender interior. Accompanied by vibrant garnishes, it not only tasted fantastic but also looked stunning on the plate.

Throughout our meal, service was attentive without being intrusive—a crucial element for any business dinner. Our server provided insightful recommendations from the menu and ensured our glasses were never empty.

Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delectable food selection and charming atmosphere. It’s safe to say we'll be returning—not just for another productive meeting but to savor more of their remarkable dishes! Highly recommended for anyone looking to impress clients or simply enjoy great Italian fare in good company.

The dinner of stuffed shrimp was excellent ! Appetizers were fresh and tasty. Carrot cake not so good. It had no flavor and texture was off.
Waitress was very attentive (Denise) Because we were at a long table she yelled so we could all hear her ? Much Better if they printed a special menu for the day than have her talking so loudly. It just made for a not so great atmosphere as we were in the room with three other large parties

My husband and I had dinner at LouCas. Our meals were delicious! We started with the calamari appetizer. It was enough for four! I had the pappardelli bolognese and my husband had the shrimp fra diavolo. Our dishes were delicious and quite generous portions. We had enough to take home for another night. We finished with cappuccinos and shared the chocolate layer cake which was fabulous! Our server was Mike, who did an excellent job. Both the food and service was top notch. We plan on going back with friends.

I took my mom out to lunch to celebrate her 97th birthday. She has minor mobility issues and uses a walker. Our waiter was so kind and patient with my mom and made our lunch that much better. We all ordered the baked salmon and the mustard sauce was delicious as well as the fresh al Dante vegetables. Yum! The food was delicious and the service was delicious. It was so nice to not be rushed. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Our favorite place in Edison. The food is always well prepared and delicious. Loved the stuffed bronzini. Staff was totally accommodating when half our party was delayed by a half hour. Highly recommended.

Food and service are consistently good. I am from NY and find NJ to be a lot of chain restaurants so this is our go to when we want to stay local, eat Italian and pay a reasonable price as it is a BYOB. Sometimes it can be very noisy. We had a larger group next to us and we had a hard time having a conversation. Maybe they need some more things to muffle sound.

Food and serve were both wonderful. Great seafood salad, whole grilled Branzino with grilled vegetables and mashed garlic potatoes did not disappoint. Our server was on top of his game and had our appetizer and entrees spaced perfectly.

We sat outside under the tent, 4 of us. The waiter was very attentive and engaging. The food was delicious, as always. We started with the Mango Calamari and the Shrimp Arrabbiata. I had the halibut over lobster risotto special which was delicious. My friends had the eggplant rolotini and the seafood and pappardelle and everyone was very happy. Great night out with my girlfriends.

A quiet date night out with my wife. As we always say “ Another wonderful evening with exquisite food and service at LouCas !!” We truly enjoy the atmosphere and service as well as the food here. We also suggest the sister restaurants Ponte Vecchio and Fresco also. We had stuffed shrimp from the menu and the Haddock special.

Restaurants last because they deliver quality all the time. Loucas started delivering in 1991 and they are still cooking away. What else can you say? Of course, the food is great, the service prompt and attentive without being intrusive, how else do you survive for more than three decades! Is cool, adventurous, edgy...no. If you want that, I can tell you where to go. But if you want an honest, enjoyable dining experience, Loucas is your answer.
