I went to Moghul Express and dined in their. The food was pretty good I wouldn’t say the best but it is good. The chilli chicken was the best thing their and their lollipop chicken was the worst because it was salty, I can handle heat but there is a level of heat I can’t enjoy and it was that. The service was really bad they gave us 1 appetizer and 1 entree at a time when we ask to get it all the food together. We order 2 appetizers and it came after we finished and they gave us our rice after we where done with the curry dish, they should have gave it together. The atmosphere was pretty mediocre and there wasn’t anything special about it. This is why I give it a 2 stars

review from uk very spicy came from uk and asked for less spice!
Moghul Express in Edison serves pretty decent Chilli Chicken and Naan. The chicken was flavorful, and the Naan was soft and fresh. What sets this restaurant apart is that they keep the grill and kitchen open during lunch hours, unlike many others in the area that close during this time. This is a big plus if you’re craving fresh, grilled food midday.
However, when comparing it to other local spots, like Persis Biryani Indian Grill, Moghul Express falls a bit short. Persis offers larger portions for the price, and the overall experience feels a bit more satisfying in terms of value. While Moghul Express is good for a quick and convenient lunch, Persis is my top choice for better quality and more generous servings.
Overall, Moghul Express is decent for what it offers, but if you’re looking for a more fulfilling meal, Persis is the better option.

I had the pleasure of being served by Valentine during my recent visit to The Moghul Restaurant, and I must say, the experience was exceptional. From the moment I was seated, Valentine greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome and at ease. Throughout the meal, Valentine was attentive without being overbearing, ensuring that my drink was always topped off and that I had everything I needed.

Food quality mediocre, on top of that 20% service charge and 3 % credit card fee, it is a ripoff business these restaurants are running, on a $100 bill, $23 extra. Guys wake up and stop going to this place. None of the American chains do this.

Tandoori Soya chaap - found reviews praising it and was really nice.
Navratna Korma as it was as first dishin menu and turned out to be creamy and good. Its expected to be on a little sweeter side. I think was perfect.
Garlic naans were nice and perfect.
Desserts: Menu doesn't have all options. Ask staff and they will guide you to display.
- falooda was good.
- rasmalai tresleche was okayish. Found very sweet.
Afternoon/Lunch can be a bad experience on a sunny day if you sit on a wrong table.
Suggestion: water is served only when requested. Should be default on table.
No mouth freshner.
Overall nice and will return for sure.
