Very nice ambiance. The food and service is good. I got a mango drink which was delicious. The roti canai could have used more curry and it only had a small piece of potato and meat in it but the thai basil was good and made up for it. Highly recommend

I've eaten here several times and my experiences have been generally good. It's a food stall inside 99 Ranch, right by the hot deli. They're like a condensed version of Penang on Old Post Road, except they serve hand rolled ice cream -- and the prices are higher. Their veggie spring rolls are tasty. I believe the card minimum is $15.

I've had the chicken pad Thai and a red curry dish here. Very good food! Tastes fresh and portions are good for me.

Great ice cream! Love all the flavors. Very fresh fruit. Pad Thai is also great. Will definitely come back.

worse char kway teow ever! It did not taste like char kway teow, wrong kind of noodles, no lap cheong and no fish cake. they definitely need to take out the word "penang" from their business name because that is false advertising. disappointing, definitely wont be eating here again.

Located in a food court inside the strangely named Asian supermarket "99 Ranch Market" on Route 1, I had high hopes. Malaysian street food here in Edison? Sounds great! But sadly it falls short. With dishes like "Traditional Rendang Chicken Nasi Lemak" referred to as "Malaysia's national dish" I was excited. There are also some Thai dishes, Singaporean chicken-rice and they are doing a "Thai rolled ice cream" that I didn't sample but looks pretty good. The food I did have (the rendang chicken, pad thai and thai green curry) was mostly bland. And even when asking for the food to be spicy it barely had any heat. Prices are a bit higher than typical. One more note on the food court here at 99 Ranch. I was excited to see a few other stalls which looked non-westernized. But at least 2 of the stalls are buffets of not so appetizing food. Could be a nugget of gold somewhere in here but I haven't found it. Kind of an inexpensive cafeteria vibe. The whole thing is a near miss. It's good to see Malaysian street food here in central NJ, but the quality is not quite there yet.

I came here with my brother because we wanted ice cream. He suggested we give this place a try because they had rolled ice cream. Strawberry Sunrise: Mango & Strawberry flavored ice cream that was mixed together. Graham cracker, gummy bears and fresh strawberries as toppings. The mango & strawberry ice cream was delicious along with the fresh strawberries and graham cracker. However, the gummy bears was a bad choice for a topping for me since it was hard and not soft gummy bears. The cashier was really friendly and patient with us when we ordered our rolled ice cream. Maybe I will come back next time to try a new topping to replace that gummy bear one to see if it makes a difference in taste.

Man, what a gem. I wonder how many people pass up on this place because they think they're in the wrong spot lol. I know when I parked in front of the supermarket I wasn't confident I was in the right place, but I followed my nose to a super satisfying meal. Inside of the supermarket you'll find find a food court with great options and lots of variety. I opted for some traditional bbq meats ( pork, duck, and chicken) as well as the highly reviewed popcorn chicken. Thier food was all really tasty and the portions were gigantic. I couldn't resist trying the rolled ice cream. I was so full when I left I had to stretch lol. My one tip would be to TRY THIS PLACE!!!

Cute little spot in 99 Ranch. Prices are slightly above average for a supermarket eatery. The roti canai was disappointing. The dish is so shallow and there was practically no curry to dip. Please put more!! It would be so much more enjoyable. The chicken pad thai was not bad, but nothing to rave about. Hainese chicken and dumplings are pretty good. The pan fried dumplings costs $6, which I think is expensive for how many pieces you get. Not bad. It's nice to have in 99 Ranch. Food is cooked to order and food comes out hot. It's worth a try, but I definitely won't be a regular.

Ordered coffee can can, popcorn chicken, seafood tom yum soup, and beef Thai pineapple fried rice. It's serviced in a canteen and generally canteen food isn't good, but this place is an exception. It feels like too much was cooked using powders or sauces straight from a can, but that's a minor complaint, since all the flavors were great. Graham crackers with the ice cream was especially delicious.

Let's say the experience here is just as great as their food you are whisked off to one off those little street vendors you would find in any Asian city Flavor on point !!! My favorite pineapple rice with benefit almost don't make it home !!!!

I'm thinking this is real authentic food because my mouth was not ready for the spicy curry vegetable soup. It was so spicy my lips were on fire. The broth had a really good taste but it was way too spicy for me. I will definitely get the mild broth next time. The soup had fish stuffed vegetables and tofu in it. I did like the stuff in the soup but the soup itself was mouth burning.

This is for the 99 Ranch Market location... We ordered 2 orders of Grilled Chicken Satay (total $25.57 including tax) to take out. They were pretty good and tasty - but we realized that the restaurant only gave us 6 sticks rather than 8 that they said on the menu. at $12 per order, they shortchanged us by 25%. We found out after we got home and it was too far for us to return to the restaurant to argue with them. Despite the good food, this experience really left a sour taste in us. We really did not appreciate the feeling of getting ripped off (not on one order but on 2 orders - so it was intentional). It will be our first time and last time - regardless of how good their food is. Beware and double check your order... don't let what happened to us happen to you!
