Paid $18 for the goat chettinad, when I got home, realized they gave me only 4 pieces of goat, I was already in NY when I realized this. First and last time here

It seems they've changed their biryani recipes, and they are now awesome. While the boneless biryani could still use some work, their Majestic dish is a definite must-try.

Quality & Quantity used to be great here in the past. Ordered panner biryani recently & only have a few pieces of paneer pieces

What they called “lamb Mandi” was basmati rice topped with mixed mutton and chicken gravy — no smoke, no authenticity.

For $27 a quarter, I expected something remotely close to real Yemeni Mandi like you’d find in Paterson, NJ. Instead, it was bland and confused — more like a buffet remix than a traditional dish.

If they ever try the real thing, they’ll understand just how far off this was.

Perisis Biryani has mastered the balance of spices. The biryani is unmatched—rich, aromatic, and absolutely delicious!

I Have ordered a paneer majestic here and am a vegetarian and they gave me bone in paneer majestic. They changed the name of the restaurant to desi dhamak. This is not at all acceptable from a restaurant. this is the worst experience i had. and panner majestic doesn't look like authentic panner majestic.

I would rate minus 5 to this restaurant because I ordered hot garlic fish, mutton biryani, chicken biryani, dry mutton, chicken 65. All my dishes came uncooked and taste was nasty. I called waiter to be attention on quality of food and he called available manager on the floor . Manager saw the food was uncooked but he don't care . He didn't care about restaurant customer care he just gave us attitude and left us without any regret. So dissatisfied and disappointment for this restaurant and staff. People please don't go to this restaurant persis biryani. It is just trash bag.

Please avoid this place. It’s not Persis anymore. Someone bought it and appointed an intern chef. Food is crappy. Spend your money somewhere else.

Crap of first order, one name on billboard and one name in google maps, I kept roaming in circles looking for. I do not like the mandi. It is so clumsy. Biryanis lack flavor ..Come once and it will be the last I am sure. Guys get your name set right first.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited Persis Restaurant in Edison with my family, including my 6-year-old child, and had a very disappointing experience. I specifically ordered butter naan for my child, but they brought out chilli garlic naan instead. When I raised the concern, the waiter casually suggested feeding my child the back part of the naan so it wouldn't taste spicy—completely unacceptable.

I was willing to place a new order for butter naan, but the waitress told me the kitchen was closed. Strangely enough, moments later, the same waiter was taking an order from another table. It was clear that my request was dismissed without reason.

To add to the disappointment, the Chicken Hyderabadi curry was overwhelmingly filled with the taste and smell of turmeric—totally off from what we expected. This used to be my child’s favorite restaurant, but sadly, not anymore. Very poor service, lack of empathy, and inconsistent food quality.

On April 26th, 2025, I purchased chicken fried rice for dinner and found it to be terrible. It was oily, the rice was sticky, and it offered no value for money. I spent $16 and anticipated a high-quality meal. While the quantity was acceptable, the quality was not.
