Had a great experience and dinner at Q'ero! The staff was friendly and attentive. Piero was an amazing waiter. The dishes were creative and had great flavor. The trio ceviche was phenomenal and the pork belly barriguita was out of this world. I wanted to drink the citrus passion fruit sauce right out of the bowl! Each dish was beautifully plated on stoneware. What a special and hidden treasure in Edison. Can't wait to go back

Came here for a 3rd time to celebrate highschool reunion as well for friends birthdays-since I was so impressed by the service last two times. Unfortunately, was very disappointed in the service, I’m not sure if the restaurant is under new management or gained a whole new staff team but after just sitting down, waiter said we only had 2 min to decide on our appetizers and entrees. Even when we were not done with our appetizers, staff was already asking if we needed to pack it up or if we even wanted our entrees since we weren’t done with our apps. The entire time we felt rushed or unheard. So many times our waiter asked if we had complaints as it seemed he was just expecting us to complain- maybe next time just ask if we are okay and if we need anything not “Do you have complaints?” every time you come by. Also, when did they start doing Valet?? I parked my own car and they still charged me for Valet?? I was hoping for the waiter to talk about the history and culture about the food like they usually do because I do appreciate that part of the dining experience, but nope. In addition, I coordinated with the restaurant the day prior to bring out candle sparklers with the desserts for my friends birthdays, and they never did- I didn’t even bother telling them because of how the night was going already. I felt soooooo disappointed because I was giving this restaurant such a good rep for its service, but I don’t think I’ll ever come back. Maybe they’re just better on weekdays? If you go on a weekend- just beware.

Had high expectations going into this restaurant... And they were ALL met!
From the Mock-tails all the way to the lady with the super warm smile handing out Peruvian candy as we left... IT WAS AWESOME!
The ceviche trio was amazing. It was a flight of fresh, traditional to citrus/sweet to spicy. Loved it. Will try that again ... And share less 🤭 .
We had the salmon and lobster ravioli. The sauces on BOTH dishes left us intrigued and wanting more at every bite. But that a lo macho sauce with the lobster invoked passion. And the Tiramisu? You hit a full blown home run with that one and you didn't need the unique presentation... But that presentation was fantastic just the same.
We'll be back for sure. The food was fantastic and that's what counts the most. But... BUT... The decor was very nicely done. I'm glad I didn't come under dressed. The service throughout was TOP NOTCH. From the server's impeccable recommendations at each course to the table care between courses. You guys IMPRESSED!
We've passed by this area for years but we had to be extra focused when we were heading down so we wouldn't find ourselves on Route 1.
Thanks again for a great culinary experience!

First and foremost, for the price of the food was utterly expensive and for the portions that you got was ridiculous. Lomo saltado $40 plate and came in small portions horrible. I could have paid $21 at a Peruvian Restaurant and would have gotten a bigger portion than what I got and would have been full. That was a joke. The ceviche trio my girlfriend got did not taste like authentic Peruvian had better at a better Peruvian restaurant she did not even eat it thats how bad it was fish was fresh but not authentic. Expensive prices for little food. Will not be returning here again.Nor recommend anyone to come here.

I came here a few months ago and completely forgot to write a review!
The atmosphere is beautiful. We got seated pretty quickly on a Saturday night for a table of 3.
I do not remember the dish names, but they were all delicious. The drink I got was also good. Not too sweet and not too strong.
Service was on point as well. Our server as well as the other servers, were checking on the table frequently.
This is a cute date night spot or even a place to have dinner with a large party.

Very good food. Just way over priced. 3 sodas, 1 appetizer and 1 dinner entrée cost about $100. Very expensive for portion size and location.

The interior of this place is very nice and the service was good. They might have been short staffed today though because it took some time for them to check up on us at the end and to take our order. I cannot recommend this place. The food is extremely overpriced. We ordered the Salmon Ikura appetizer and the pieces of raw salmon were paper thin and it only came with 5 slices, yet the entree was $26. The sauce didn’t even pair well with the salmon. The dinner entrees were just okay. I had the udon saltado and the udon was overcooked and too soft. The pieces of steak were chewy and not tender. My friend had the lobster ravioli, but I barely tasted any lobster. Overall, there was nothing exceptional about either dish that warranted the almost $40 price tag. They also only gave a choice of still or sparkling water. So water ended up being $8. The bill ended up being about $70 per person—not worth it at all for what got. This place is trying way too hard to be upscale in an area that is not even upscale. Unfortunately, the food quality and quantity falls extremely way too short of the price. If the price was half of what it is currently priced, the value would match what we received. Because of all this, I cannot recommend this place nor would I return again.

This is way better than every Peruvian restaurant I've ever head in NYC. Pio Pio does not compare.
I'm a Chinese brother so I had to order the chaufa. The Quinoa chaufa: you're hit with strong Peruvian and Chinese influences - with neither overpowering each other. Instead, their flavors amplify each other and I've never had chaufa like that - and this was without meat, too! I was amazed at how savory the dish was - you can taste the wok in the best way. The sweetness and savory blend.
My sister and wife got the meat dishes. I didn't have a taste but they left clean plates. Not a drop of the seafood soup leftover, not a grain of rice from the sushi uneaten. Lomo saltado cooked to medium-rare perfection, as requested and recommended by our waiter.
My wife is a dessert enthusiast, The presentation of the tiramisu was hypnotic, the texture was the perfect amount of wetness. We enjoyed coffee flan, as well - never had one this rich before with the texture being on point: solid enough where a soft bite can break it, then it proceeds to melt away as you're eating it.
Service was the best, our tables were cleaned at the right times - waiter checks up to make all is well as we requested. Also, the pottery and plates used here! It's almost reminiscent of Japanese wabi-sabi. The pieces are high-quality, heavy, retain heat - and they're also very eye-catching. The head of the house left the best impression as we noted the plate ware when we were leaving - he showed us more and gave us a background on how it was sourced!
I will absolutely be coming back for special occasions and when visitors are in town. We already have such strong East Asian and South Asian fare around here - Q'Ero makes me wonder what I've been missing all this time when it comes to South American restaurants. Q'Ero is definitely the best of Central NJ!

We Went to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday here . We were a party of 8 so we made reservations. We drove an hour away and let me say that it was well worth the drive . The food was delicious ! The service was amazing very attentive !( Piero was our main waiter) . And the atmosphere was nice . And it’s great too that it’s BYOB! In addition , I have been to many Peruvian restaurants since I am married to a Peruvian man, and this restaurant is by far the most elegant and most delicious one of all! I hope you open more of them ALL across NJ! Everything was just perfecttttttt!!!!!
Thank you - :)

If you’re looking for some delicious and unique food go to Qero. I’ve never been disappointed by this place. The food is not only delicious but the quality of the meat and vegetables is top notch.
Also the deserts are one of a kind. The pistachio mouse cake is addicting. (not sure of what the actual name of it is)
If you’re looking for a place to impress your date, bring her there
