Satyanarayan Kathiyawadi Restaurant

We decided to come here to eat excited for the new meals. However honestly, the food we ordered wasn’t served well, the place was empty and at times the server and manager left us alone, and the food wasn’t anything like what we expected. The paneer just tasted like heavy cream and all the food was extremely mediocre for the hefty price. Please be careful before coming here!!!

Avoid this place at all costs! This was the worst thali I’ve ever had. They’re overcharging $21 for subpar food, it’s a total rip-off! I strongly recommend reporting them to the Food Corporation of America for an inspection of their kitchen and quality standards. 08/03/2025

Do not recommend. Salty and spicy food. Naan looked like frozen store bought naan.

We came here for thali experience. The boy who served us, was so polite, humble and hard working. The way he treated us, made us feel just like home. Love the food, atmosphere, and song collection. We also ordered one Thali to go and Jalebi wasn’t included in it (because it had gulab jamun in it). We requested him for jalebi, and he said it was complimentary for the dine in guest only, and yet he gave us the jalebi for take out. That was really nice of him. We waited for him once we paid the bill to say thank you again but couldn’t find him. Must visit this place. Highly recommended. Food is 5 stars ofcourse.

Some of the best Indian food ever. I love Gujarati food so much, and I go here every other weekend which is super fun?

One stop for best Gujarati food.I am from Canada but everytime I come to Edison I have to stop at this place for lunch.

The food tasted it was reheated and not fresh. The oil in Tava Pulav was so much that we has a weird oil taste left in our throat. Will not recommend it.

If I could give 1/2 on the food I would’ve. I had called beforehand to check on the price of the thali and as to what’s offered in the thali. I was provided all incorrect information. My thali consisted of a small bowl of Khichdi kadi 2 small servings of curry, papad, roti and one small piece of Khaman. Once the server dropped off the food no one came to check offer refills or anything else. Food was extremely poor quality and tasteless. Portions small and bland, no dessert. No wonder the entire time we sat there and ate we were the only ones there. Never again would be venture in to waste our money. Lesson learned!

Loved the food, the price is very reasonable and the taste is extremely authentic. It tastes homemade. The place is 1 hour from my house but I would drive down there to have that food!

Please don’t go. If you want it Punjabi food go somewhere else. They give Frozen swad naan. Make warm. And panner burji. Very bad test.

It saysopens11:30am but it was closed when we got there they said opens12:30poor communication on side of current ownership

We went in around the same time with 2 other customers. The restuarant was empty when we all walked in. The server managed to drive all the three of us out while ordering food. I understand when requests can't be accommodated but the attitude of the server was like "I don't care if you eat here or not"
