Is decent food. Not too crazy good but solid enough for a meal. Xlb was alright. Skin a bit thicker but is good and hearty. With that much options around, not sure if I’ll be back

Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The service was lacking—staff seemed indifferent and inattentive. The dining environment was quite basic and felt neglected, making the atmosphere uncomfortable.
The food also left much to be desired. Shockingly, I found a piece of steel wool in my noodle soup, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. The soup itself was bland, lacking flavor and freshness.
Additionally, the Xiao Long Bao were extremely disappointing. The dumpling skin was thick and doughy, and the meat filling had an unpleasant, rubbery texture. Overall, the taste and quality did not meet basic expectations.
I hope the restaurant takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements.

Nothing to recommend. Cash only establishment
Good: sliced beef (fu ji fei pian)*,
Ok: beef noodle soup*
Meh: soup dumplings, pork and chive bun
Pass: three cup chicken
The fu ji fei pian isn't a recommend because it's not the way it is usually prepared. The sauce is maybe 2/10 spicy, much less spicy than expected but the super thinly sliced tendon is pretty spectacular
The beef in the beef noodle soup is nicely braised and very tender but the broth is thin and tastes more of the pickled mustard greens than anything else
The soup dumplings had lovely thin skin and tasted like they were made in house but only 3/8 contained any soup and those that did had very little
The three cup chicken seemed first deep fried then stir fried in a very thin sauce making the chicken overcooked. The blanched broccoli florets with it also failed to impress
The meat of the pork and chive bun was tasty but the bread was thin and soggy and over steamed

I hate leaving bad reviews and I hardly ever do, but I couldn’t hold my peace. This food is inedible. I ordered soup and the vegetables taste rubbery and has a chemical aftertaste to it; my soup was covered in fried tofu, I could not enjoy the soup at all, greasy and awful rubbery taste with the vegetables. Even the Taiwanese hamburger was awful, I didn’t like it at all.
I don’t know if it’s my palate but I would never get food from here again. My goodness, I ordered $95 worth of food and nothing was tasteful :( what a waste.

Went in at 9am for breakfast. Place was open and there were no clients there. Lady ignored me for more than 5 mins so I decided to leave. I guess they don’t serve breakfast after all.

Premade food, not evenly heated from the microwave. Too expensive for microwave food 😔. The Xiao long bao was not good at all. Everything was soggy and the cold salted duck was warm on the outside and icy in inside.

Very good value for the amount of food given for the amount paid. Ordered the fish with mustard green noodles with broth and got a good helping of vegetable but taste wise it was okay to me.

The restaurant is cozy and nice. I love that it feels authentic. However, the food was a little bland. The spicy peanut noodles were not spicy at all. And the soup dumplings were just ok. It’s not bad, but I’ve had much better soup dumplings, and I like more flavor in my food. I was glad that the food was not too greasy or anything though.
Also, they should really put a big sign on the door or front desk or on the menu that says CASH, VENMO, OR ZELLE ONLY

All dumplings are not homemade and fresh - can tell it's frozen. It's expensive $85 for family of 4. Don't waste your money and go elsewhere.

I’ve been going there for over 10 yrs even post pandemic however the last time I went in March would be the last time I ordered from there. They must have changed the owner and chef. The lady manning the desk was no longer there, and the food didn’t taste good either. The costumers Shanghai vegetable / pork wontons became the mediocre regular wontons. The Taiwanese pork chop didn’t have the authentic flavor/marinade. The rice cake was bland with little vegetable and meat.
When I picked up the takeout order, there were only 2 tables of customers. One table had their food. The other table must have sat there for a while and been neglected so they just got up and left. It’s just bad and sad.

Our family has been coming here for about 13 years or so, when it was a little larger space with a different owner at the beginning. The menu was kept relatively similar throughout. Our last visit a couple of weeks ago may have been our last time for a long while. Post-pandemic, we have always appreciated how inflation can increase prices, but our family draws the line at lowering quality or consistency. Our many favorite dishes, from the fried rice to the XLB to the spicy seafood dumplings to the boiled pork dumplings was inexcusable in their inferior quality compared to just a month before. I'm not sure why the staff felt it was OK to serve such low quality food. Filling size in the dumplings, texture, and flavor were all lacking what was historically very good even when the google review scores remained low. We are sad about this.

I DoorDashed their beef congee and chicken & mushroom congee when I was sick - both are rich in flavor and the meat is delicious. Definitely better than other bland congees, highly recommend!

This is a small family owned and run Shanghai restaurant. The food is always excellent, the prices are good, and the portions are adequate. My wife and I have been eating there once a week for over ten years and have tried many of the options on the large menu. We have never come across anything that we did not like.
