These people are scammers and really tried to steal my money! Order at your own risk!! I attempted to order from this place a for special dinner today I placed the order online at 4:54 pm and it was supposed to be delivered at 5:45 pm. 7 pm and my food was still not delivered. I attempted to call the phone number that is listed on Seamless and their number is FAKE. I found another number on GrubHub and that number is a FAKE ALSO! I tried to go on their website and that doesn't work either. Even the phone number on their menus ARE FAKE. I even called Seamless and the rep was not able to get in contact with them as well. She cancelled my order and moments later on Seamless the restaurant is showing as closed ALTHOUGH THEIR LISTED HOURS ARE 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM. A complete waste of my time!!I SO frustrating because I could have went some place else. If I did not see a building on Google Maps, I would doubt their legitimacy further. Now I have to wait 5 days to get my money that they attempted to STEAL!

Really pathethic food. I ordered dal makhani instead i got water with veggies in it. Its that horrible. I say never go to this restaurant.

Called at 10.40 pm appx. Asked if they have anything in Punjabi cuisine, the guy said NO. Asked if they have palak paneer and garlic naan. And he says YES!! I place an order for it and the guy says I need your credit card info. I said can I pay at the store, the guy rudely said NO WE CANT WORK WITHOUT CREDIT CARD INFO ON THE PHONE AND HUNG UP ON ME!!! THIS MIGHT BE THE ONLY RESTAURANT IN NJ WHICH DOES THIS. 16th oct 2020

This honestly used to be our favorite Indian restaurant, it was surprisingly good and a random find.. it was our go to.. But recently we have had issues with having about 3 cubes of chicken in our 'chicken' orders and missing items. Tonight we had an order of 5 things and they sent us one... They then called me to ask what we were missing and the man I spoke to was extremely rude and hung up on me... Such a bummer because as I mentioned - this was our go to.. but will absolutely not order from a place that speaks to customers that way ever again. Not to mention the other issues..

The aloo mutter and dal fry tasted so good as in India which is such difficult thing to find. The phulka rotis were amazing. Loved the food and the service too.

I ordered for 65 dollars and 3 large items were missing. Basmati rice, tandoori chicken and garlic nan. When I called I was asked to pick it up myself. The person was rude and did not listen to me and hang up on me as well. I will never order anything from your place again and also make sure I tell others not to order from u. In addition the Rita was horrible like water. Very disappointing.

I had a very bad experience at this restaurant. I placed an order and then I went to pick up . Shivaji restaurant Owner said that he would not entertain my Groupon and this was really very disappointing as I ordered only because I bought a groupon. When there are dozens of Indian places why would I go to a not so popular place. The owner was very rude had absolutely no manners to talk to a lady . I feel if he can deny a Groupon( where they place their advertisements to attract customers and later deny them the discounts) Similarly I have the right to not pick up the food even though I ordered it.When I told him I would only pick the food if he takes the Groupon he told me not to come back to his restaurant.Sorry buddy your stale food and stale customer service will not attract me to your restaurant. You can have it all.
Gave gotten food here twice- soooo good. Think comfort food. Very good ingredients, fast delivery. Not greasy. Seriously surprised this has such low ratings!

Im seeing a lot of mixed reviews but in my experience this place is awesome? I just got out of work late and shivaji was the only place still open for another 25 min. I placed the order through grubhub but since they were almost closing ,the owner himself came and dropped off my food Which says a lot about how they value their customers . The food was sooo fresh and equally as delicious ?

ordered takeaway vegetable pakoras. you would think that they would welcome that because of virus. but it was uncooked with only onions. we ordered takeaway else where for family that had real vegetables

I am sorry for bad reviews. Not good at all. If possible i can give 0 star. Staff is really rude. The way they talk is really really rude. When you are trying to explain something they will say we have other things to do. We order food and they were keep saying that its ready but still they were not giving that to us. After that we told him to cancel it and he became super rude. I saw menu on google and price was $7.99 and when i checked menu in restaurant it was $8.99 and when i asked them they said google took price by itself. WOW

I want there today only. Food is not preferable. We ordered buttermilk when we eat and buttermilk dont come till we done the food. The person who sending at counter he has no sense to what way he is talking with customer. As well as online price is differet than store price when we ask he says Google take the price........ seriously?
