This was the first time that I tried SriLankan cuisine and I quickly regretted.
The food had a revolting smell and the same goes for the restaurant.
Great authentic Sri Lanka food . We normally order for takeout. Our repeat orders are the string hoppers, aapam, pittu and egg curry.
Authentic Sri Lankan food! Good portion sizes, worth the price and amazing customer service! The people there are welcoming and friendly, true to Sri Lankan nature.
Kottu Parotta is a must try, Lamprais was above average.
We were craving for srilankan food during our stay and found this tasty restaurant.we ordered rice and curry for lunch that was came with five curries with basmati rice..everything was delicious.price is reasonable.they will accept Card too,but will charge additional cost.
If you want a solid Sri Lankan dining experience, Sigiri is a great choice. After having their Chicken Lampries, Kottu Roti, and Pol Sambol, I thought they were all flavorful and the portions were quite generous.
The Chicken Lampries was packed with fragrant rice, tender well-seasoned chicken, and veggies packed inside of a bamboo leaf. I was also delighted to find an egg inside.
The Kottu Roti was also seasoned well with spices and included a small bowl of gravy which added a bit more kick to it.
As for the Pol Sambol, you can really taste the coconut flavors. It is a perfect companion to the other dishes because it is served cold and brings a different taste and texture to my meal.
Overall, I had a great dining experience at Sigiri and would go back to try their other dishes.
Being able to eat Sri Lanka is a rarity in itself but this place is so amazing. The crab curry is to die for but anything there is amazing
Best food ever

Sigri Restaurant is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving authentic Sri Lankan food. Every time I visit, I order the Hoppers, which include three regular ones and one egg hopper—my all-time favorite! I also love the string hoppers here. They taste amazing and are served with a small bowl of coconut curry and dried coconut chutney. This time, I decided to try the mixed fried rice, which was really good, along with a veg stew.

I was in Edison on Labor Day visiting my gf's family. They wanted a taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. So, we decided on the mutton and the dude inside suggested the lamprais. It had a funny odor and distinctive taste but I never shy away from anything from other cultures, especially knowing the proximity of Sri Lanka with regard to India and Pakistan. Columbo said it was a delicacy. We were dying to try it 'cuz it was wrapped in banana leaf with big tooth picks. Looked like something bushmen in Australia would dig into.
The next day my stomach intestines went into labor!! I suffered a severe stomach ache. I thought it was food bacteria. Luckily I had the day off on vacation. But my gfs family cursed for going there. Bro stick with the stuff on Oak Tree Rd. Lincoln wouldn't approve of this....

Conveniently located for travelers on the NJ Turnpike, this Sri Lankan restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. We enjoyed almost all the dishes we ordered. The kottu roti, hot battered cuttlefish, and hoppers were particularly good. The watalappam was also very tasty, though the caramel pudding was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the lamprais didn’t quite meet our expectations.
Overall, it’s a good Sri Lankan restaurant and worth giving a try.

The food was delicious, and I would definitely recommend the hot buttered cuttlefish. It was nice and crispy, and the inside was chewy, which made it taste amazing. Especially with the chili oil. Another thing I would recommend is the chicken kottu. It tasted great, but the beef or mutton also tasted great. The service was good, and so was the atmosphere. Would definitely come to eat again.

Visited on a rather busy weekday, Good place to try authentic Sri Lankan food (they do have great selection!). Loved the traditional rice and curry as well as the hoppers. Lampraise was bit of a miss though, but overall good experience.
