직원들 싸가지 없슴. 외국 친구가 팁 안냈다구 거짓말함. 그 위에다 꾸질꾸찔하게 팁 더 내라구 우리한태 다툼을 걸러슴. 찐자 웃기지도안나. If you want korean food go anywhere but here. they're rude and will stop you if they're not satisfied with the tip you give them. the employees were rude from the beginning and lied to me in korean that my friend did not pay tip in which he did and I hadn't known till i left. they pressured my friend to give more money for tip when he asked to see proof that the tip didn't go through. such a low life act. they should be embarrassed that they represent korean people like that.

Food is good, I must be honest. But I think it’s CRAZY that almost every time I’ve been here, I’ve watched a manager CHASE customers out the door demanding a bigger tip. He even yelled after a small group of polite college girls “you’re so greedy!” After he chased them out. They looked so confused and scared. How do you expect people to want to enter your restaurant when you insult customers as you chase them away? I’ve even seen them do this to an old grandfather and his grandson. Do they have no shame..?Again, awesome food. But be weary of how much you tip or they may chase you. To be specific: you will be chased for anything under an 18% tip. They believe it is the minimum.

Don’t let the 1 star tipping policy reviews keep you from coming here and eating the delicious food. Did not notice anything strange with tip when I ate here and the food was absolutely delicious. Loved the tofu stew and free bancham. Yum!!! Great service too. I’m shocked people haven’t rated this place higher. Go after a day at Island Spa.

this is the worst dining experience I've ever had. I would give it 0 star if google allows. We paid by cash because the manager told cash payment get 5% discount and we paid tip in cash as well. When we step outside, the manager (a middle aged korean man) followed us and told that we didn't leave enough tip. He showed on the receipt that we are obliged to pay 18% tip or even more. This is so ridiculous for a simple lunch. I don't mind paying more tip for a formal dinner, but it's such an unreasonable request for a casual lunch, let alone the fact that he already get tax advantage when customers pay by cash. I felt so sorry for the waiter there, the tip should be for the waiter, instead for the manager. The manager just required more tip so that he can get the portion that should go to the waiter.

Very good Tofu House dishes. The seafood tofu bowl is the logical choice. The Korean chicken ginseng soup lacked the taste of ginseng. The side dishes are very good though.

We ordered mushroom and seafood tofu in medium heat. The tofu were fresh and the soups seasoned to our liking. The side dish such as the cucumbers and bean sprouts were delicious. We have been here several years ago and was disappointed but today was a pleasant surprise.

TIP HERE IS MANDATORYTHE AUDACITY OF THE MANAGERS ARE CRAZYPersonally, I liked eating here because of the cold noodles. However, after my interaction with a manager, I will never come back here again. The other reviews on this about tipping is not exaggerated. I chose not to tip this time because a friend that worked there informed me to not tip as tips don’t go directly to the waiters or bus boys. The managers collect them, so I did not feel the need to pay extra only for my money to go to someone that did nothing. However, upon leaving the restaurant, one of the managers (a Korean middle aged man) chased my friend and I down demanding a tip. He repeatedly asked us “why no tip?” And I explained to him that we didn’t tip because the tips don’t go to your waiters, and we aren’t obligated to tip. He got mad and kept pointing at the tip section on the receipt. I said we aren’t tipping, and he left cursing at us in Korean.Do not come here. Service is mid and the managers are absolutely horrible. Your tips don’t go to the people you want, and if you don’t tip, the manager will confront you. Definitely would have tipped if I knew my tips would go to the actual waiter and bus boy that served me and not the rude manager that demanded a tip.Honestly if anyone wants to see if this review is true, go to the restaurant around dinner time and leave 0 tips. I’d advise you to have your phone out to take a video if they come and confront you. Most likely will be the Korean middle aged man again.

Solid tofu soup with a clean ambiance and good selection of banchan side dishes. I don't have a great spice tolerance so the mild tofu soup is a perfect spice level of not really being spicy but still having some flavor. I ordered a mixed tofu soup and it was pretty good with a decent amount of seafood and beef and a good balance of tofu. This is located in the Hmart parking lot and it can get incredibly crowded, especially on weekends, and since it's close to Rutgers it's convenient for college students to come eat here. However, the service was pretty mediocre. Once we ordered our food and they gave us our tofu soups, they rarely returned again to check on us. We managed to flag a waiter down and get one refill of the side dishes, but other than that we never saw them until it was time to pay the check.

There should be a -* review option. This review does not pertain to the food, which is amazing; but directly to the customer service. All previous times I’ve visited this restaurant I’ve paid with card which allows me to include the tip. This time, I chose cash. As I approach the cashier for my change of $6.56. I grab a mint and dropped the change of what I thought was $5.56 in the tip jar.As I’m walking towards the exit, a waiter runs and opens the door after me. In front of customers and with a highly condescending and angry tone repeats twice: You eat $36 dollars and leave a $1 dollar tip?Even if it’s was the case that I purposely left a $1 tip, the approach was incorrect and highly disrespectful. If it’s a DEMAND for your customers to tip you, you should include it in the bill as many restaurants do. I understand tipping is an important part of your income but, the way this was handled, was out of proportion. I was not even asked if this was by mistake (just for the benefit of the doubt). You’ve lost a once loyal customer and with me, everyone who I will share my experience of today…

absolutely love this restaurant! Delicious grilled ribs (galbi/kalbi), sizzling tofu soup (soondubu), amazing hot stone mixed rice (bibimbap). The banchan was refilled quickly. service was prompt and helpful. I love the cucumber banchan. My son loves the fish cake banchan. Good food is worth the money and their prices are reasonable for the quality they provide. They deserve more stars. i wish i could eat here every day.

Left 18% tip and the waiter cursed me out in Korean! The tables are sticky. The banchan/ rice seems reused from previous customers they don't seem to appreciate your business unless you challenge them to a squid game
