I was visiting Edison, NJ and stopped here for lunch. What a surprising and pleasant experience. Don't let the run down exterior fool you... this neighborhood grill hotspot served up a delicious, whopping size Italian philly sandwich and has lotsa character on the inside that greatly overshadows its outside appearance. Louie, the owner, knows everyone by name, greets and chats with everyone, and it seemed that all customers knew each other too. Super friendly staff and very welcoming. I miss local "hole in the wall" places like this as it seems like franchising is taking away the local flavor of our 'hoods. Just wish I was staying longer and could go back to try out their breakfast fare as I know it'd be very hearty!

The place was empty and they took a half hour to serve me.After eating my meal the server was talking with the cooks and totally forgot about me for an other half hour…I can’t Recommend unless you have plenty of time to spare.

It’s a nice small restaurant for breakfast and lunch (probably for dinner too). Small seating area but usually very crowded in the morning. The crew is always nice and friendly.
Their breakfast platter and chicken cutlet sandwich are my favorites.
