Shame they are cloaing soon, one of the best bowls of ramen I've had in NJ. Hope they get moved into a new place and reopen sooner than later!

Wakai Japanese Craft Ramen captivates with its delightful cuisine and charming decor, despite its limited space. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I recommend the eggplant misoyaki and wagyu beef gyoza; the portions are generous, perfect for two. Although it's on the pricey side, the quality justifies the cost. The tonkatsu and chicken ramen, accompanied by rice and salad, are a must-try. I'm eager to return and explore more of their menu.

Great little ramen place. Service was super fast and lovely. I had the truffle miso butter and it was a very interesting fusion of flavors. The pieces of chashu pork in each bowl is generous.

Cant tell from the outside but the inside of this restaurant is really nice! Edison doesn’t really have that many ramen specific places so having this as a more upscale ramen option is great. The ramen flavors were unique and light. Normally I have a hard time finishing a bowl but I cleaned this one up! We got lobster tacos as apps and those were really refreshing. Dessert was alright; a little overpriced for what we got but service and everything else was great!

This is the best ramen I’ve had in my life so far. Extremely flavorful, perfect consistency of the noodles, filling portion sizes. It’s become my go to spot for ramen. Highly recommend if you love ramen. We got the truffle miso ramen and the smoked duck one with bone marrow as an added topping. For appetizers, we had edamame and the wagyu nachos. Also delicious!

Ok so I was excited to try this place after seeing it on TT. The vibe of the place is cute, you can tell it's trying to appeal to the millennial/genZ crowd which I appreciate. I got there a few minutes after opening so little touches like music were pleasant surprises after silence for a little while. The music was played soft enough to hear it but not drown out the table conversation. Servers were also nice and knowledgeable-ish. I ordered the trending bone marrow ramen and paired it with the corn. I also LOVED that the offer a few different mock-tails- the kumori peach was delicious. The umami corn was delicious BUT the server didn't tell me it isn't served hot so it was weird because it was warm on some areas then ice cold on others. It was hard to eat it because the temperatures were so different. I would recommend it if it was served hot but cold- no. The ramen was pretty good. The broth was rich and flavorful. The marrow was also really good. My only gripe with the ramen was that when I got to the bottom there were chunks of garlic that weren't fully cooked, so eating them unexpectedly was not appetizing. It kinda felt like I chopped them up in my own kitchen lol oh! I added the ajitama egg which was DELICIOUS. Overall, I will say it was pretty good. Best ramen I've ever had? No. But would I eat it again? Sure.

Went here off a recommendation and I definitely will be back. The food was amazing! I can tell they put a lot of love into their craft. The lunch prices are good but the dinner prices are a little pricey. The quality is honestly worth it. A whole duck leg in my ramen for $23. The ribs were crisp and juicy. The ambience is nice and cozy. The service was great! No complaints.

I came here with family and we got the beef bone marrow ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and spicy tonkotsu ramen. We've had better ramen in NJ but it's still a great ramen option near Costco (less than 10 min drive). I think the spicy tonkotsu is the most worth it in terms of taste and price. But we come here for the appetizers more than the ramen. Our favorites are the wakai nacho and spicy tuna taco. The service is pretty fast and even if there's a wait to get seated, it usually goes by quickly.
