Absolutely the BEST meal I've had in years! The food was excellently prepared and presented. The service was great and there was the perfect time between courses. My wife's meal was equally delicious. Exceptional food and service. A little pricey but it was our 50th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed.

As a lover of food and history this place really left an impression on me. Despite being a native to the area, I have never dined in or out of the Ye Olde Centerton Inn until my girlfriend requested a steak for birthday. I had a eureka moment and decided to choose this place. I made a reservation and when I was telling people, there was nothing but positive things said. I knew my girlfriend was in for a treat!
Upon arriving, I was greeted by the bartender who got our host/server. Wonderful people and I wish a lot more restaurants had staff like them. Our waitress was amazing and honestly I was not used to the service she provided. Despite the place being almost empty on a weeknight, she didn’t hold any punches when it came to the hospitality she displayed. I am really thankful and grateful for everyone’s efforts.
Now onto the important stuff. The food! I’ll keep it simple here. Hands down, one of the best steaks my girlfriend and I have ever had. Everything from the salad to the potatoes and the steak was out of this world. Worth every penny spent and some.
For dessert, we had cannolis and sadly I didn’t get a picture because they disappeared quicker than the Minute Men that dined in this tavern almost 250 years ago when the British came. It’s crazy to think this tavern has seen everything in American history before and after we became a country.
This place for me, was like a museum that just so happens to serve the best food in the state.

Food was quite delicious and priced as would be expected in a restaurant maintaining a specific era of decor and ambiance. I was disappointed in the service requesting a normal dinner hour reservation, I was told there was only a later opening available. When we arrived, there were very few patrons there. We were 20 minutes early, but were seated immediately. It appears they are still recovering from staffing issues caused during COVID. Either that or the current economic demands prevent hiring additional staff. The atmosphere is that of Ye Olde Inn style, but could use some touch-ups in adjusting the lighting and maybe update the color pallete. I know it is supposed to be retaining a specific time period but the colors can be "updated" without changing the era of the room. Overall, it still captures the charm.

We are a couple of Melon Skin. Last Thursday our kid had his prom right down the street. He had to be there before the doors closed so we got him there at 6:45 pm. So we figured we would kill some time and stop here. Mind you they close at 8:30pm. So we pulled into the parking lot and it was two other cars. We walked in and there were two other couples. we were told we needed a reservation because they were booked. ( two other couples ) keep in mind. So we figured we would wait at the bar and have a cocktail until we got seated.( Right) so one couple left and then we were told they had a table available. Right, that part lol . We figured its are first time here lets order the Centerton steak with crab meat and spinach with the salad we heard so much about. WORST restaurant meal I have ever had in my life. The steak was dry, the crab meat tasted like it had MAYO and the spinach tasted like it just came out of the field, it was so tough I couldn't cut the veggie with a knife. The only cool thing about this spot was the couple we met. Never again!

I came here for dinner and let me tell you how amazing my experience was, first and foremost my server Kerri was the greatest server I ever had at any establishment I've ever been to.Second I ordered the chicken marsala and I don't think I took a breath because I ate it soo fast it was that good. Kerri also suggested the fish house punch cocktail and that was a perfect ? cocktail for a fun evening out.Lastly I ordered the lemon bundt cake for dessert, that cake was soo damn delicious ? it topped off the perfect night out.I will be coming back time and time again, Thank you soo much for such a great dining experience and amazing food
