Been coming here for awhile, it's a very local crowd but the booze is a good price, the roast beef dinner is fabulous and the atmosphere is typical bar. Come for a drink and a pizza and you will be very happy.

I was with a group of friends and we noticed this historical hotel and then realized I the hotel is now a restaurant, so we were intrigued and decided to get some food. We all enjoyed the burgers, apps and drinks. The server, Mike was very fun and hospitable! He made our the fun and pleasant The drinks are good as well. We plan to stop in again Super Bowl.

VERY disapppinted. My family has been going there for 60+ years. They have a so called "PRIVATE" party room. A group "celebrating" a funeral. SO loud, speakers, LOUD music. You would think that they would have adequate sound proofing and SOLID wooden doors. NOPE. RUINED my visit with 2 friends whom I have NOT visited with in a number of years. We were sitting in the main dining room and could NOT hear e/o speak. . I asked THREE times for the waiter to do something about it. NOPE. Just an apology while paying our bill. This was on a SUNDAY afternoon. Also, forget about ordering off menu (omelet). Could NOT even get a baked potato. ONLY mashed. GIVE me a break. PLUS, prices keep going up! $16 for a hamburger?

We made reservation and showed up on time. Choice of seating was limited. Choice was a table in a louder room or to be seated next to an opening door to outside. Because of my limited hearing (Military Service Connected) we chose the table by the door. While walking to our seats, I asked my wife if she would like to go elsewhere. Well, my wife heard a server, by the name of Michael, who was at a server station telling another server “ I don’t care, go somewhere else. I’ll throw a drink in her face”My wife heard this statement and immediately told the hostess we will not be dining there. My wife confronted the server as he tried to walk away. The hostess even apologized for what was said. We asked to speak with the owner or manager. We spoke with Ken and though he looked disappointed, he said he will address it at the next server meeting. Not good enough !I then confronted Michael, who denied it and accused me of being under the influence. He threatened to call the police. I said sure no problem, I’ll wait. He ran off like a child. Ken and another employee came to me and said nobody was calling the police and repeatedly apologized for Michael’s remark.Keep in mind, the hostess and the other server, who Michael made the remark to, never came to his defense.Needless to say we will never dine there and the server should be fired.

Haven't been here in many years. We were the first diners in the dining room. No servers so the bartender took good care of us even as the bar area filled up. The sliced steak dinner is now $27, but just as delicious as ever . the second pair who came into the dining room also ordered the same. It's their signature dish, and it was wonderful.

The service has gotten worse. It took more than half an hour before someone came by. This happened twice from the last two times I was there. They used to have a few waiters but they have cut down to only two. BTW, both times I was there the place was near empty and I had you wait. Imagine if they were busy. You never would get service.

My experience about the Emerson Hotel are pretty good!!! I've been to this restaurant 3 times in a row with my Grammy and Poppy for dinner. Sometimes I order a cheeseburger, Margerita pizza, Caeser salad, pasta, and a dessert. The people are nice at the Emerson Hotel. The Emerson Hotel is just like the Allendale Bar & Grill.

Mike is awesome! Real attentive and personable, fun guy to just shoot the breeze with. Definitely recommend the corned beef sandwich, one of my personal favorites.
