This has been my go to for cakes for many years, but this weekend I ordered a cake and it was for a birthday dinner. We found hair baked into the sponge of the cake. Unfortunately I won’t be ordering from them again, especially if I am bringing the cake for the guest of honor. I was very embarrassed that this happened with a cake I bought for a birthday dinner. I don’t know if they don’t tie their hair or don’t wear hair nets while baking, but the hair was definitely gross to find and ruined our dessert at the end of a nice dinner.

Good place for sweets the cream filled donuts ? are fantastic. Cakes are good pound cakes are good if you order way ahead of time. Prices are covid friendly on all items you order all places are these days!!! All in all it's a8 rating . To get to ten they need to be more Spanish in the way they use sugar the butter cream frosting is way to sweet . And they don't cater to your needs as far as decorating or sugar intake this would get a 10 if they did. 8 it stands...

I ordered a birthday cake for y mother's 90th birthday. Everything about this place was exceptional. From Carolyn taking my order to the service when I picked it up, everything was perfect. And the cake itself? Wow. It was great. The cake was moist. The icing was delicious. Everyone at the party was talking about how awesome it was.I wanted something special, not a grocery store sheet cake, and I got something special. Thank you Gallo's

I walked in with my son today and he got a big box of cookies. I asked for a weird request and the manager helped me out the best she could. I was so excited my whole way home I could not contain myself ! She was over the top polite and helpful. Made my whole day !!!Thank you again !!!!
I called this morning, and was trying to order a chocolate 8 inch cake with vanilla frosting. I was told by the young girl that answered the phone that they only had whip cream icing. I’ve been to gallos many times and have bought many cakes from here and I know that that’s not right. She said she had to hold on and then I think we got disconnected. I called back and the same girl answer the phone and told me that yes they did in fact have chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. I said great I will take one, can you please write these three names on it. She said, I don’t think we can fit three names, and then disappeared on hold for another Five minutes. At this point the manager comes on and states they don’t have any cakes and they’re shipped in from a different place and it’s hard when you’re ordering for the same day as pick up. It was an eight chocolate cake with vanilla frosting I thought that might be doable? I think they have to make sure whoever answers the phone knows what’s going on. The manager went on to tell me about staffing constraints and so on and so forth. Very disappointed and you can see how small places go under. I told her I was calling ShopRite which I did, and she told me to have a good day without much care or concern☹️ I would not be surprised to see this bakery ends up where all the other ones have been lately. on the plus side, people tell me the ShopRite cakes are delicious, so I guess that will be the place from now on.?♀️ Lynn S. ——*****Update— thank you for getting back to me, I was told by the girl on the phone that nothing was made in the bakery and everything was shipped in. I didn’t think I would need to call ahead for an 8 inch chocolate cake at 8:30 in the morning to be honest. So I was surprised. many times I have walked in that bakery and picked out a cake. I wasn’t asking for a sheet cake or even a half a sheet just a small 8 inch cake.? just a very confusing experience, but all ended well. Thanks anyway.
