The dryish jerk chicken I've ever had
Second time I've been there.
I've tried the oxtail very disappointing as well I'm done, and for the amount that I paid just not worth it!!!!!!

We stop there on our way home from Delaware and the food was amazing. I had a beef patty and my husband had the jerk chicken. The staff is great and so is the owner Sasa. I love this place definitely would go back.

Recommended dishes: Jerk Chicken, Sweet Plantains, Beef Patty

The service is very slow, there is always something missing, this is not a service that suits this region.

Super nice people and great food!

The curry chicken was over salted and the rice tasted microwaved. The plantains look like canned mush. It was a great place but had some questionable food.

Having grown up in Brooklyn and Philadelphia with a father who was an award winning pit master serving wood smoked jerk chicken for over 15 years… after traveling most of the west indies to study the difference in flavor profiles according to the island… after personally serving as a private chef who specializes in Caribbean fare, I approach all varieties of Caribbean restaurants with care. I’m sad to report that the owner of this establishment tried to embarrass me in front of a line of people when I’d only asked to see the oxtail that I was about to pay $28 (+$3 credit card transaction fee) for. I gently asked the young woman working for him to peek at how it was being served and she obliged, only for him to come over and tell me
ā€œI didn’t have to order them if I didn’t want to.ā€

I am very aware of my free will and expressed that I understood. He repeated himself as if to try and turn me away. I stayed. Payed $36 for the oxtail platter and a beef patty and KNEW that the attitude I’d received would be forgotten once I ate the food with my family that was waiting nearby.

Unfortunately I was wrong.
I opened up a Styrofoam container to find under soaked beans in our rice that made them too hard for my daughter to eat and rice drenched in gravy with bits of oxtail and bare bones. If I’d weighed the amount of meat I’d just paid for it was less than 4 ounces. We braced ourselves for the beef patty and found a flattened and obviously frozen patty that I could have purchased a whole box of in the grocery store for the money I’d shelled out.

I could rate the whole experience lower but I won’t match the energy that brought me to leave this review in the first place.

Maybe be kinder to first time patrons when they’re exercising their right to know what value they’re paying for in this trying economy.
Or be sure your food can make up for your lack of customer service.

Yo, this spot is REAL. Sassa Bienne got me shook in the best way – no fake ā€œjerkā€ here, it’s proper smoked chicken, skin a lil crispy and mad spicy, just how it s’posed to be.

I ordred the jerk chiken plate with rice & pees and they even left the tiny tyme stems right in there, proof they cooked it slow and old-school, not that oven bake shortcut mess other joints try. Oxtail gravy all over the rice had me lickin the fork, an the fried cabbige was tender but still got a lil crunch.

Been to other places and walked out disapointed – felt like wannabe jamaican food. THIS place is the tru deal, flavors hit hard, staff cool, portions big, price fair. If you a jerk head like me stop wasting time at them fake places and pull up to Sassa Bienne, you’ll taste the diference quick.

Stopped in @ Sams club in cinnaminson and Sassa Bienne had a set up right outside the front doors...we decided to grab something to munch on and omg! Best Mac n cheese I have ever had! Yams, cornbread, jerk chicken, California sweet pork, sweet ribs, & sweet plantains were all finger licking šŸ˜‹ good! The gentleman even gave me a small platter of free cornbread. Photos of platters are empty when i remembered i had to leave a review lol but each platter was stuffed and for the price ($28) 1 main + 2 sides was worth it 100%. Can't wait to eat from there location again, highly recommend!
