The atmosphere is just what you'd expect this kind of bar to be. I'll go back for sure but I really didn't enjoy the shrimp po boy. They weren't whole fried shrimp but I think they were pieced together frankenshrimp. I didn't enjoy them, but I went there for a burger and should have gotten one. My companion who is gluten free loved her bunless burger. The service was excellent. Al's definitely deserves more visits!
Service was kinda slow, was kinda cramped in the corner of the bar. There wasn’t really anything interesting on any of the televisions at the bar, the burger looks way too tall and difficult to eat. But in the end, it’s probably the best burger in the entire Delaware valley. It cracked my top five of all time for cheeseburgers coming at number 4. Price wasn’t terrible either. A bacon cheeseburger and 2 domestic beers came to 27 bucks.
In conclusion, This place makes a fantastic cheeseburger and is definitely worth a stop in.
It's a nice little dive not dive bar. It's definitely more upscale than a dive bar, but not by much. You can tell people care about it and respect the staff and facilities there.
It's smaller and would be about as big as you think it would be from seeing it on the outside.
The food options were pretty limited to frozen and fried food but that's standard at a lot of bars.
I can see how it's a home spot for some people that are locals, but I don't see many people coming from far away to check it out. There was nothing that stood out to me that made me want to share it with friends and say wow you need to come check this out from out of state!
There's a few games and whatnot (no pool), and a jukebox for tunes.
The staff was really nice and attentive, granted I did go during lunch time around 3:00 so it wasn't busy and I can't speak for when it is, but I have gotten food there a few times and nothing has stood out as a wow factor. I'd go back if friends were going, but as someone who recently stopped drinking (and yes I know it's a bar) I'd get bored pretty fast. There's a few local spots that provide pool and more space for mingling but this is a pretty cramped and oriented towards drinking vs. activities.
Located in an old house at the end of the runway of Trenton airport sits this gem of a dive bar! Great vibe, great people, great service, good beer, and tasty food! What more could you ask for. The signature wings were great. Fried to perfection with a sweet hot sauce! The corn bites were great as well, although a dipping sauce from like street corn may take it to another level! They serve it with sour cream. Great thick burgers and tasty porkroll! Good pub grub menu. They don't have draft beer, but a good selection of bottles and cans. Fun, friendly bartenders!
They have really turned this place around- LOVE IT HERE ! Ice cold beer great food, will definitely be going back !
Came with a group and had a great time. Service is friendly if a little slow. Food was good-loved the wings!
This was the first time we have been here. The food was great and the staff was so nice. I highly recommend
Great food! Bartenders are on point!
This place is a staple in Ewing, not only for its longevity within the town. Don't let the outside fool you. It's is a great, comfortable place to visit. I work an hour away, and cannot treat my workers to lunch or dinner here. However, Chris, the chef, has worked with me several times, on how I could pick up wings, turkey clubs, and BLTs the night before, to bring to my crew the next day. My staff absolutely LOVES anything I bring from here. The staff is fantastic, and so is the food. The specials are often changed, and I strongly suggest trying them. It does get busy, and parking can get tricky at times, but it's worth the wait.

I make it a point to come here while traveling to the area for business. No matter the day there always seems to be something going on. The food is delicious. Drinks are very reasonably priced. And the staff and patrons are friendly. Wish I lived closer to Al’s because I would be a regular!

Al’s has great staff and great food. Let me emphasize: some of their waitstaff/bartenders are THE EFFIN BEST in the world, and some of their food is UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. I won’t name names (you’ll know!), but I will highly recommend the chili, the soups, the burgers, and the specials. And of course: the wings! It’s a classic bar environment, but also very friendly and chill. Sometimes the live music is atrocious, lol, and overloud, but it’s all part of the charm, really… Al’s is the best!
