If you near Ewing NJ, make sure you stop by and visit Barbara’s Hungarian Restaurant. We just had a delicious dinner here, only 30 minutes from Flemington NJ Farmers Market. The food taste just like my grandma’s home cooked meal.
Chicken soup, Brassoi, Mushroom paprikas with Pork Cutlet, Palacsinta, Apple Strudel ❤️❤️❤️

Even during the lack of staff this restaurant provided the best food in the area. The service and food are quite literally... extraordinary. The owner provided personal service, acts as the chef and never cheats on the quantity of food. An out-of-the-way restaurant having a personal touch. Can't wait to go back again and again. Been there close to 20 times. Love it.

My husband and I wanted something different for dinner. A friend recommended Barbara's. We wandered in, unfortunately, the place was empty due to the current situation. The owner greeted us promptly. I ordered the stuffed cabbage and my husband the chicken paprikash. Our plates were full and the taste brought me the childhood memories of my Grandma's cooking. None have come close before. The restaurant isn't big but very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this stop and dont forget the homemade strudel.

I had been to this restaurant before and the food was great. I haven't been there in over a year. We went back and although the ownership and chefs changed, the food was awesome again. We had soup, schnitzel/pork cutlet, spaetzle and cucumber salad. We only could eat half of all we were served and took the rest home for dinner tonight! I highly recommend you check it out.

We took my father here for his birthday, and the food and service was exceptional!! My family grew up eating Hungarian food and this is truly authentic Hungarian cuisine. Highly recommended.
