Many Soul Food restaurants have disappointed me over the years. Never the Big Easy of Ewing. The food is excellent, served up timely and the customer service is superior. As a take out customer, I am always more than satisfied!

I ordered a flounder sandwich. It came as a hoagie and the fish was not crispy. I was going to go to JC but I decided to go to the culture spot. JC was better. I would suggest frying the fish crispy and seasoning it better.

1st time trying and NOT disappointed!! Food came up hot , and tasty, greens were done right, Salomon rice is a must try.. fried fish was on point. Go check em Out????? oh don't forget the Bean pie????

Went to the restaurant twice and had Turkey wings Mac and cheese and collar greens I had New York strip steak collar greens and string beans everything was salty besides the Mac and cheese.... The food was way overpriced

This was my first experience with soul food, and I was warmly greeted by the staff upon arrival with my friends. I ordered the Kai burger, fries, and cornbread. The Kai burger was reminiscent of a cheesesteak, and the cornbread was moist and flavorful.

Was in the shopping center for other reasons and noticed this Big Easy location. Was very excited to pop in and get some salmon rice which I love and purchase frequently from the Trenton location! The rice contained a few shreds of salmon that were actually burned! The taste was not good at all and it didn't seem fresh! $11 down the drain literally...
I regret to say that my recent experience at the Big Easy was far from satisfactory. Despite arriving at 5:20ish and placing my order for stuffed salmon, string beans, and cabbage, I was informed by the polite young lady at the front counter that it was cash only and I could pay now or when done(definitely should have waited). After swiftly acquiring cash and returning to the restaurant, I noticed that a few other customers arrived and ordered the same dish while some others ordered different items.As time passed, I observed each customer, including those who arrived and ordered after me, receiving their food promptly, while I continued to wait.When I inquired about the delay, I was met with indifference and was told she didn’t understand why either. It became apparent that familiarity with the staff determined the level of service, as those who engaged in small conversations with the owners were promptly served, while I was left waiting.The culmination of this selective service led to my departure from the establishment a little over 30min later, with mediocre food and a considerable amount of hunger.In conclusion, the Big Easy's service is disappointingly selective, and unless one is familiar to the staff, prompt service cannot be guaranteed.
