Since the pandemic ended, we've visited this fine old inn just a handful of times. The infrequent visits were due to its relative expense at first. Now other spots have raised their prices to match. Mixed drinks remain a tad on the high side, even during happy hour. We had 5 drinks—3 glasses of wine, a beer and a cocktail—that cost about $60. Three of those beverages fit within happy hour parameters. We had the three course meal for $38 with braised short ribs. They were fine, perhaps a bit bland. The salads had too much dressing or at least too much vinegar. Next visit we'll ask for the dressing on the side if we can. The asparagus was done perfectly. Gravy on the potatoes was okay but didn't seem like it came from the ribs, slightly over-spiced. Still, the meal was worth the price. We recommend their limoncello marscapone cake. Our waitress would check on us immediately after anything was delivered to the table. The musician during happy hour was a good guitarist and had a nice playlist, but...

Wonderful atmosphere. Sat outside to hear music on a beautiful evening. Ordered from the 3 course Prix Fixe menu. Wonderful caprese salad with the freshest jersey tomatoes, teriyaki dumplings and my main course was the short ribs with asparagus. Outstanding meal and then I topped it off with a slice of chocolate cake. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy some more wonderful cuisine.

Went on a Saturday evening for dinner, three of us. We had garden, Caesar, and arugula salads. All delicious. Our entrées were Korean salmon with lobster risotto, short ribs, and eggplant rollatini. All excellent. Our drinks were also exceptional: the hibiscus old-fashioned, the peach sangria, and a margarita. Server was very attentive, asked great questions. We totally enjoyed our meal.

We all enjoyed our dinners of Gochujang Marinated Salmon, Lobster and Crab Pappardelle, and Ginger and Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna.

It was a fantastic experience with great ambience. You could not ask for better service. the food was excellent as well. One meal we did not care for her, but they easily changed it out no questions asked. Again fantastic service and would totally bring people back. It was my first experience at this restaurant.

First time there food and service were good, nice atmosphere and drink selection was very good. We will definitely come again.

The majority of our group of 6 chose the prix fixe dinner option and were pleased with the varied choices. The restaurant was quite busy and the servers were challenged to keep up. Our food was delicious and served hot. We had a very enjoyable time and plan to return our next opportunity.

Enjoyed the prefixed choices. Food was delicious. Able to sit outside to dine. Was very enjoyable.

We celebrated our anniversary last Thursday, sitting outside on the porch, overlooking the verdant downward sloping lawn and wrapped in a soft breeze. We were greeted immediately upon arrival by a smiling, cheerful waitress who guided us outside to our table. Although the bar area was packed, no noise filtered to the porch or terraces. Our food was served promptly and pleasantly. While I enjoyed the Prix Fixe meal of Caesar Salad (homemade croutons!) outstanding spinach pierogies and a very generous portion of chicken with artichoke hearts, tomatoes asparagus and gnocchi in a dreamy lemony pesto sauce, sauce, my husband went all in for the braised short ribs and all the trimmings. Both our meals were outstanding. Compliments to the chef. We look forward to returning.

Drinks were great, food was great, and service was great. We had a very enjoyable meal. It was a little louder than normal tonight as there was music and a larger crowd, but it was good to see the place busy.

We went to see Jerry Monk perform. We normally only go to restaurants with live music. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The waitstaff was pleasant and accommodating. The food was very good as was the menu. I was happy to have the choice of several fish dishes and Brussels sprouts.

Food was delicious. Only big surprise and disappointment was the portion size of the salmon. Was literally half the size compared to any other restaurant I have been to.

Good food. Unique outside with seating at different levels. Banana cream pie was great. Service was okay

This in my third visit to the Blooming Grove in and it was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and we like the rustic ambience. We shared the mussels in red sauce finishing the delicious sauce with a spoon. My friend loved his lamb lollipops. Unfortunately my shrimp stuffed with crab imperial was more like shrimp stuffed with crab less bread cake. I make crab imperial so I know it doesn't contain bread. It is a mayonnaise based stuffing with visible crabmeat. It was tasty but I pushed most of the bread stuffing to the side. Without much fuss I advised the waiter that the name of the entree should be changed. He told me he is the back up chef and my complaint was correct. I didn't expect or ask for anything in return as we were enjoying everything else. When the bill arrived he advised he took the entree off. I was most appreciative! In spite of that issue we had a nice night and will be back!
