It's always fabulous at the Blooming Grove. Every meal we've ever had we've loved. The. Best. French. Onion. Soup hands down. A great vibe at this restaurant!
Arrived during happy hour, so many food and drink choices on both happy hour menu and regular menu. When finished with dinner just picked up my $10 meals to go
Always a pleasure to come here for a special occasion! It is particularly colorful and fun in the spring when everything is “Blooming.”
Blooming Grove is our GO-TO place for holidays with parents, celebrations with loved ones, and special visits from out-of-state friends. We are never disappointed in the outstanding menu, the attention & care of the servers, the just-right environment, and the perfect desserts!
Great food. Great drinks. Great dessert. Great atmosphere. This is a truly wonderful restaurant.
Food is excellent. We always eat at the bar.

If you don't go there you are missing something!! This is an update on my original review. We went there today November 8th for lunch. We asked if we could sit on the outside patio, they said no problem put us right out there. We were the only people sitting outside temperature was about 65 and beautiful. Our waitresses very attentive, the food was fabulous. I had the coconut shrimp and my wife had the short rib. Her meal came with mashed potatoes and carrots. Top Notch food in every way even things down to the coleslaw were really good accommodating. Great service, very good food!

Visited for the second time in a year - - wanted to go somewhere I hadn’t been to in a while - for my birthday with my boyfriend. And we had had a great night here with friends. My bday celebration turned into a PROPOSAL!! And now Blooming Grove will be a tradition! Amy greeted us at the door and was out bartender as well as our server. She had things under control! She was very excited about our engagement and she took excellent care of us. Happy Hour was fun at “her” bar and the food was great.
Looking forward to our next visit. We want to try out the patio!! Oh and by the way, I said YES!???

Sitting here now, and had to return the food as it came out cold, where the potato was not even hot enough to melt the butter. Already half hour into the meal, and the food was returned. This will be the first time and the last time. We see three waitresses hanging out at the bar talking to the barmaid while no one is filing glasses, no one is taking dirty plates away nothing. Extremely unprofessional here. Don’t waste your time. They sent it back to us after they microwaved both dinners and the meat looked like tree bark. They did not even replace the meat or the potatoes. Then the manager came out and tried to get us to come back saying they’ve been there 10 years and my question was if you’ve been there 10 years, why the hell did you stick in a microwave rather than replace the meal that came out ice cold because you had it waiting on the counter for at least 25 minutes? Do not waste your time here there are many other places much better.”

I recently dined at The Blooming Grove Inn on Friday, September 13th, and was delighted by the exceptional food and service. The ambiance was lovely, and the option for outdoor seating added a charming touch to the evening. To make the experience even better, a couple of small enhancements could be considered. Adding cushions to the outdoor chairs and tablecloths to the tables would make the seating area more comfortable and inviting. There was a minor issue with the lights going off at the end of the evening due to a timer malfunction, but it was an understandable mishap. With these small improvements, The Blooming Grove Inn could provide an even more memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

The duck was not crispy and it was served with a small amount of congealed sauce. The risotto and roasted Brussels sprouts were so cold it seemed they were straight out of the refrigerator. It was very difficult to get beverage refills. They may have been missing their chef or perhaps something else bad happened in the kitchen...
Several young children.

Charging for coffee and soda refills is just wrong. My associate had a sandwich, I had a wedge and onion soup and with top the bill was $70. Totally absurd! Plus our first seat was by a window with a flower pot that was filled with tiny bugs. They moved us, which was fine, but left the pot and all the tiny creepy crawling things in place!
The food was marvelous. The service was spectacular. Portions are quite large; I will be enjoying the 2nd half tomorrow! The place looks great - some recent renovations are a nice touch. Well done! Highly recommend. We dined inside but the outdoor dining was quite tempting on a night light tonight!
