Overall experience was very good. All six of us enjoyed our entrees, salads, and appetizers. The waiting staff, however, was guaranteed a 20% tip with the size of our party, and it was not fully attentive.

We recommend the chicken parm dinner and steak. We all enjoyed our meal and the service was fantastic. Portions were a nice size.

Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. We had the meatballs , bacon wrapped scallops and the perogies for an appetizer. mixed green salad and the French onion soup was delicious. Penne pasta , braised short ribs , chicken parm and seafood fra Diablo was excellent. We topped it off with Bannana cream pie, coconut sorbet and Limoncello Mascarpone Cake! Service was excellent! Highly recommend! We just booked a party there!

I have written many reviews of Blooming Grove and what I can say is that they are consistently terrific. The food and ambience never disappoint and the service is always wonderful. I wish I could recommend something specific on the menu but everything we've ever had there has been great. Don't miss this neighborhood gem.

Great meal. We ate on the patio outside with live acoustic music. The Tuna was perfectly seared. Penne Vodka with sausage was perfectly done too. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back soon.

We had a delightful meal and sat on their gorgeous outdoor patio. It is a beautiful setting with good food most of us pick the prefix menu which offered a salad, an appetizer and a main course for $36. The portions on the entrée were very good even on the prefix menu. The service was very good and very attentive to our needs. I'd highly recommend you give this place a try. Even though we sat outside the inside was very beautiful.

We were seated at an excellent location right next to the musician we came to see. However, although I had notified the restaurant that we would be only 2 rather than the original 4, the table was still set for 4. The restaurant was out of the dish we wanted (mahi-mahi) but the tuna we had was very good as were the Brussels sprouts The Manhatten drinks were pricey but excellent. Best of all was listening to Jerry Monk perform. We only hope that as fall advances they will move the live music indoors.

The weather was perfect for dining outside, and the meal matched the setting. Live music (guitar player) added to the holiday weekend vibe.

We've been here many other nights for dinner and had very good food. This night 3 out of 4 dinners were just lukewarm and overcooked. We didn't send it back to get warmed up because it was already overcooked. Not a good night.

My friends and I did the pre fixe menu and chose 3 courses for $38. Smaller than normal dinner sized options obviously but everything was fantastic and plenty to eat. I was stuffed afterwards! And the banana cream pie was great also. Live music on the porch, not too loud so we had no problem talking to each other. Very nice atmosphere and staff. Beware there are some bees out in the patio though (if you're allergic). Not a swarm but you get an intruder flying at/around you every few min or so.

First time. Beautiful location. Food was very good. Staff and service were excellent. Wish I had known they had live music, who were very good. I will be back.

Since the pandemic ended, we've visited this fine old inn just a handful of times. The infrequent visits were due to its relative expense at first. Now other spots have raised their prices to match. Mixed drinks remain a tad on the high side, even during happy hour. We had 5 drinks—3 glasses of wine, a beer and a cocktail—that cost about $60. Three of those beverages fit within happy hour parameters. We had the three course meal for $38 with braised short ribs. They were fine, perhaps a bit bland. The salads had too much dressing or at least too much vinegar. Next visit we'll ask for the dressing on the side if we can. The asparagus was done perfectly. Gravy on the potatoes was okay but didn't seem like it came from the ribs, slightly over-spiced. Still, the meal was worth the price. We recommend their limoncello marscapone cake. Our waitress would check on us immediately after anything was delivered to the table. The musician during happy hour was a good guitarist and had a nice playlist, but...

Wonderful atmosphere. Sat outside to hear music on a beautiful evening. Ordered from the 3 course Prix Fixe menu. Wonderful caprese salad with the freshest jersey tomatoes, teriyaki dumplings and my main course was the short ribs with asparagus. Outstanding meal and then I topped it off with a slice of chocolate cake. Cannot wait to go back and enjoy some more wonderful cuisine.
