Two scrambled egg whites were $8.00. The dining room had brken air conditioner then August 2025. Coffee is good. Tightly arranged tables.
My wife made a reservation for three at 12:00 PM, which we had confirmed in advance. We arrived slightly before our reservation time—around 11:55 AM—with my 93-year-old mother-in-law, expecting to enjoy a relaxed brunch. However, our experience was anything but pleasant. When we checked in, the host acknowledged our reservation but told us we would need to wait. We noticed a clean, empty table for four nearby, which we assumed was ours. But instead, a party of four who arrived after us was seated immediately at that very table. Then, we watched as another booth for four was cleaned, but again, it was not offered to us. Instead, at roughly 12:10 PM, the host attempted to seat the three of us—one of whom is elderly—at a tiny two-top table with a chair added. This was neither comfortable nor acceptable, especially given our reservation and the availability of more appropriate tables. We were dismayed by the lack of courtesy and professionalism shown by the host Mr. Skank, and by the disregard for our reservation. Ultimately, we decided to leave rather than subject ourselves to an unsatisfactory and cramped dining experience. Don’t waste your time.
I have patronized this establishment once before for lunch and was not at all happy with the parking, service or food. On Thur. morning, 5/15, at 7:00am I looked on their website and saw they were open at 7:30am, it was convenient for my client and that's the only reason I suggested going there. I called my client and asked him to meet me at Cafe 72 in Ewing, NJ at 7:30am to discuss some business. I remembered their small tight parking lot so I decided to Uber there so not to chance damage to my vehicle. I arrived at 7:30am and walked into the Cafe where some middle aged man who spoke broken english, rudely blurted out " we are closed" I stood there for a second before saying your website says you are open at 7:30am, and again with an attitude he blurts out private party we are closed. I then asked why this was not mentioned on their website to let customers know, he pointed and yelled sign on door, we are closed. This was strike two in being disappointed at this place, I went outside standing in the rain for a few minutes before my client arrived, I got into his car to explain the situation and he said he knows of a great place. We went right down the road a mile to Ewing Dinner. Wow, this is a great place, plenty of parking, excellent service, food and very reasonable prices. I now am thankful Cafe 72 was closed, this led me to the Ewing Dinner that is way above a 5 star dinner, compared to a below one star Cafe 72. I highly recommend Ewing Dinner, and will never recommend Cafe 72.
I'm a longtime customer. Mostly brunch after Church. The food is fabulous and the waitresses are very nice.

The place seemed nice and the people are nice, however the food is very overpriced. They seem to have a very interesting menu, but the food was very meh! The corn beef hash had a backflavor that I didn't care for. Breakfast for myself was close to $25, and I have had similar breakfasts for far less, (Even with the increased egg prices). My wife's falafel tasted a little bit weird as well. Nothing to write home about, but will probably not come back
Ate with a friend, and when asked for separate checks, they said they don't do separate checks 😒 They're egg dishes do not have enough egg. They were expensive. Two breakfast dishes came out to $52!!!!! Picked turkey bacon as my protein cost $8 and got only 2 slices. I won't be back!

This is one of two breakfast spots where I enjoy the shrimp and grits. It's very delicious and filling! I get bacon to add to the grits because everything is better with bacon. The latte was also hot for almost my whole meal; everywhere else it's cold after five minutes. I'm not sure how they're doing that, but I hope they keep doing it! All the employees are polite as well. I come from another state to eat here because I love the food and the service is great.

Service was great and fast. All the food and drinks were delicious cinnamon roll pancakes were amazing but I don’t think there’s anything you can go wrong with on the menu. Recommend making a reservation we went on a Saturday late morning it was packed but our table was available right when we came in. 10/10 experience definitely will be back!

Used to be excellent but last 2 times there were not good. We had a bad breakfast and a bad lunch. Not going back.
Really great breakfast spot. Doesn’t have a ton or tables, but does well with the limited space they have. They also have a counter/bar you can eat at if you’re by yourself. Great for takeout also. Food is excellent, staff is friendly and attentive, never had a bad experience there.
Beautiful place made me feel welcome as a solo customer.

I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and finally decided to check this place out. The atmosphere has a cute vibe. However, the food didn’t quite live up to the expectations. I tried the combo breakfast, the bread and potatoes were decent, the scrambled eggs were a bit bland. My family had the breakfast and chicken tacos, but unfortunately, they weren’t impressed either. Overall, the experience was okay, but I’d love to see more flavor and variety in the dishes
