We were in town last night for a sports tournament and stumbled upon the Firkin Tavern. With four kids and four adults, we weren’t sure what to expect, especially since the tavern was pretty busy with only one server. At first, we were a little concerned it might be overwhelming, but Mike, our waiter, quickly proved us wrong. He was absolutely amazing! Despite the crowd, he handled everything seamlessly and was extremely attentive. The food also exceeded our expectations, it wasn’t just typical bar food.. everything was delicious and really impressed us. If we’re ever in the area again for a tournament, we’ll definitely be back!

Big bang for your buck here! A lot of food for the right price your money is gonna get you a hefty portion. Really great service that is happy to help and make any adjustments. You need to your meal. Was even able to customize my burger for maximum spice!

This friendly environment is met with a good selection of beers and whiskeys. With games on in the background you’re sure to keep up on your scores. Don’t forget to wear your favorite team’s jersey.

If you come here with a group of friends you’re gonna have a great time. If you come here solo you’re gonna leave with a doggy bag full of food to eat on the way home or when you get home.

we visited for the first time, the atmosphere is great with lots of old pics to look at. the mozzarella sticks and the Buffalo wings were great. we ordered burgers and a cheese steak which was just ok as it was missing proper seasoning. we are going back to try the personal pizza as they looked amazing.

Decided to check out Firkin’s today; we sat at the bar. There were at least 5 servers behind the bar, the bar was not busy, and it took at least 15 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. We asked a few questions on the beer selection, and it took another 15 minutes for another server to come back to take our order. After we got our order, and finished our meal, it took at least 30 minutes for us to get our check, once someone finally looked at us. Never were we asked if we would like anything else. Really?? The place is quite a social event for the servers, between themselves. The customers are there, hoping to be noticed. We heard one server complaining that last Sunday she had to split $9.00 in tips with another server. Maybe if she actually “served” the customers, her tips could increase. Been there and will NEVER return. What a joke.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my mortal enemies. If I could i would score a ZERO or NEGATIVE STAR!!! I was in the area on business and this evening was the second day in a row I stopped to check this place out since it was close to the hotel. Both times it was around 11pm and upon entry I was told they were closed and had already given last call. I accepted the answer last evening but tonight I questioned the bartender why they advertised on Google they were open until 1:30 AM, not to mention the bar and parking lot were fairly full. He was very arrogant and cocky when I inquired and replied “Well, that’s how late we could be open if we’re busy but we’re not.” I looked at the number of people still sitting at the bar and thought to myself you actually look pretty busy and then commented “it’s a hell of a way to do business, advertising one set of hours but not adhering to them.” As I was walking out the door I heard him comment “well that’s not how it works.” As I was getting ready to pull out 2 more cars pulled in. I told both of them I was told they were closed. I can’t imagine with the number of people there, plus some customers still arriving, they weren’t profit positive. I assume if the bartender was the owner he’s pretty well set and not worried about how his business does but if he was just a hired bartender he’s not doing anything to promote sales and profits for the business.

The foods pretty good and they have a nice beer selection. Only bit of criticism is that I saw a bartender grab ice with a glass cup a couple times. Doing this can cause the glass to chip, landing in the ice bucket, and good luck trying to differentiate a piece of ice and a glass chip in your drink.
