We planned to order take out of grilled seafood in mid afternoon and brought it home to Philly for dinner. The salad and two sides were unexpected, but fresh and flavorful. We had mixed roasted veggies and sauteed spinach, beautifully seasoned. Great birthday celebration without a lot of dishes. Seafood was delicious!

We ate there last night. We started with an appetizer of fried oysters. They were " summer at the shore delicious." Our main course was scallops. They were cooked just right and very tasty. The salad was fresh and included a variety of veggies. Dinner included a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The food was excellent and the wait staff was very friendly. We pretended that we were at the beach on a nice summer evening! We will definitely go back!

Everything was good and fresh. Ordered calamari as appetizer. 10/10. The bread was fresh with good butter. Ordered fish and chips as my meal. Also a 10 would deff recommend.

We ordered our food through grub hub and set the pickup time to 7:45 pm. The food was not even warm when it got home. Purely from a food safety perspective this is unacceptable. I cannot eat this fish knowing it's possibly sat out several hours. 2 salad pictures attached show the side salad comes with more vegetables than the $11 greens salad.

I ate here for the very first time and enjoyed it immensely. We ordered Snow Crab legs and the New England Clam Chowder....both were superbly delicious. I highly recommend.

First time visiting Maryland Crab Seafood House -Ewing NJ ! This was my first time experiencing outdoor dining since COVID and I must say the restaurant was on point. They made every effort to maintain social distancing , hand sanitizer available, clean tables immediately after guest departed, fresh table clothes and the servers wore mask . The waitress was polite and attentive . I ordered the flounder and it was cooked to perfection, salad was excellent and the Margarita had a nice kick ! No complaints .....I will return . Please keep up the good work because eyes are watching how serious businesses are trying to keep customer and employees safe during these challenging times. Thank you and see you soon !

I'm giving this a zero rating!!! Although the waitresses were very nice and accommodating the food was not worth the price! Our broil platter was served cold. Once we received it back we realized the food was not seasoned so we had to dump a whole bunch of old bay on it (it did not make a difference). On top of that the owner was ignorant and did not want to discount our food. He also gave the waitresses a really hard time. It is apparent the owner does not care about dissatisfied customers!!!

Solid seafood crab pot. I am posting on 3 star bc they shorted us a crab cluster the other night. Had the order been completely correct, four star review. Saw this place on Yelp and tried it out. Make sure you check your order before getting home

I was in the mood for some crabs yesterday. Joes Crab Shack is my place to go, but they are really far from me, so ording takeout wasn't an option. I decided to give Maryland Crab a try. I ordered pound and a half of Snow Crabs and the hot pot #2 which come with dungeness crab clusters which were big. When I entered the resturant, I saw 3 bags of takwout and one family style diner tray, all for me. It was a lot of food so I thought it was going to be pricey but it was only $75. My husband and I were very full by eating only half of the meal. I was suprissed by how tasty everything was. The only thing we didnt like was the butter we got which has garlic. Next time, I will order plain butter. We will be definitely ordering more from here and will eat here once this virus is gone.

Maryland Crab Seafood House is located in the former Extension Diner on Olden Avenue Extension, Ewing, NJ. It is the fish restaurant project undertaken by the proprietor of the Ewing Diner, a traditional Greek stainless palace nearby. The space is nicely renovated, but retains the familiarity of its beginnings with marble lunch counter and enormous slices of dessert cakes, pies and puddings. The service folk looked vaguely like the old staff at The Extension, but as it was many years since my last visit, I wasn't sure if we were all just older versions of our previous selves. They were well schooled in taking care of customers and made certain I had all the water and oven heated rolls I wanted. I walked in after 3 and was hungry enough for dinner after skipping lunch and an early breakfast. I saw Flounder Francais on the Specials Menu, and stopped reading. As a Francais Fanatic there was nothing more to consider. Let's see what these guys could do with a favorite dish. The side Caesar Salad was big and fresh, but lacked anchovy based dressing. The small Dinner Rolls were excellent right from the oven with a tasty herb butter melting into them. The large plate with a bed of yellow rice under Flounder fillet dipped in egg and lightly sauteed in more butter, lemon and white wine was flakey and tender and seemed to have avoided freezer time. Its only shortcoming was caused by my expectation that it would be an Italian or French style finish with a pan sautee browning and thin lemon wine butter reduction. Rather, it was a much heavier bright yellow Greek gravy that was more a thick Avgolemono soup, than the delicate tart complement to the flounder. It wasn't bad, but just not what I envisioned. That will remind me to live in the moment and leave expectations behind where they can't influence what's yet to come.

A welcome tip from a friend delivered us to non-descript converted diner hammocked somewhere between the outskirts of Ewing and inskirts of Trenton. While I instantly regretted not packing heat (kidding) the terrific find provided all that I need from a great night out - a memorable meal. While the atmosphere is workmanlike and probably not the ideal setting for a marriage proposal this minor ding pales in comparison to a stellar menu that the truly gifted among us will quickly ascertain as crab-based. However, not wanting to put in a full eight hour shift cracking and consuming these notoriously cranky crustaceans we settled for two stellar dishes (Seafood Mykonos and Chilean Sea Bass) that were fresh and wonderfully prepared - all delivered by a service staff that was attentive and on point. To be honest I'll have to add a sixth star for the food and subtract one for the odd configuration of tables that was not only dense but allowed a few of the adjoining patrons to push back into our space as if unwinding after a large family meal at home. I suspect that I can now add "crabspreading" to the cultural lexicon. That aside and much more important, the Maryland Crab House is an inspired destination for dinner. Next time, I'll just bring a taser.

Was in the area and read the reviews so thought we'd give it a try. Sure glad we did. Delicious food, large portions, attentive service, and prices comparable to other seafood restaurants. Also, has a full bar. The crab ball app was on point with an excellent dipping sauce. Clams casino were delicious but the order of 3 clams made the table of 4 having to split and share the odd number. Choice of house or caesar salad was a nice touch. The mains were huge. Each could defintely feed 2 people, especially the steam pot. None of us had room for dessert. Give this place a try if you're a seafood lover. You'll be glad you did.

I just learned about Maryland Crab Seafood House doing a Yelp check for a restaurant that fit the food mood. They've been own for just a few months so word may not yet have gotten out. So let me help to get the WORD out about Maryland Crab Seafood. Seafood has been one food group that has alluded us since moving from New York City 4 years back. By seafood talking about good old shellfish-- dungeness crab, lobster, mussels, clams, snow crab legs and Maryland Blue Crab. See my photos of our meal and the crab selections from the viewing fridge. We were certainly surprised, went in with medium level expectations and came out saying we will be back. Hence don't judge a book by its cover, in this case Maryland Crab Seafood took over a former diner building and still has some of that feel but the food is nothing like diner food. We started with and order of CLAMS CASINO - breadcrumbs, fresh herbs, bacon. Let me start by saying the three clams in the appetizer order were spread open wide and overflowing with chopped clam, breadcrumbs, and other ingredients. Very tasty and satisfying. Next, both our entrees came with a nice house salad of mixed greens (no iceberg lettuce here), mixed cherry tomatoes, nice size firm cucumber slices, sliced onion with a choice from nine different dressings. A nice surprise considering they have a menu section dedicated to salads. My wife had the broiled lobster tail with sautated spinach with garlic. Nice size portion- firm tail meat, with a side of large leaf spinach made really nice for my taste and red bliss potato. Choose the Old bay dipping sauce. I had the Dungeness crab, thick legs full of tasty meat and I had a side of three small sections of corn on the cob, along with coleslaw. I asked for the Yuengling spice dipping butter sauce which hit the spot. Was a lot of food; truthfully, we could have shared my dish. Our servers and support staff were very attentive to our questions and requests. They have a parking lot, a bar, take credit cards and have room for large family/parties. We'll be back soon. See my photos.

My wife and I ate at the Maryland Crab Seafood House recently and enjoyed a fantastic meal! Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and was very helpful with our questions and provided fantastic service throughout our meal. We ordered fried Calamari for our appetizer, which was served with two fantastic dipping sauces. Both the marinara and sweet sauce with a spicy kick were absolutely delicious. We both enjoyed our heavenly bowls of Seafood Chowder, which I imagine I will have to order during every visit at this establishment. It's phenomenal! There were tasty, warm rolls on the table which were great for dunking into the chowder. Each of our dinners came with a house salad, which were very good. Then my wife and I both ordered our dinners from the daily specials menu. My wife had the Salmon, which was served with potatoes and vegetables. Her salmon was cooked to perfection and was delightful. I had a little taste and almost regretted not ordering her meal it was so good, almost. But my dinner was even better! I had the Seafood Delight, which was served with shrimp, scallops, mussels and lump crab meat, with a creamy, white wine sauce and served over fettuccine. I had plenty left to take home and I thoroughly enjoyed it a second time the next day. With so many mouthwatering options on the menu, there will be many future visits to the Maryland Crab Seafood House for lunch and dinner. They also have a fully stocked bar with beer, wine and liquor. We were so full from our meal, that we did not have room for dessert, but I am looking forward to trying something on my next visit. Thank you Maryland Crab Seafood for a wonderful, delicious meal!
