Waiter at lunch not good at all. Dish we ordered had an important item substituted (mashed potatoes for rissoto) and he said he'd check but never came back. When he brought the bill he did, "see that wasn't so bad". We hadn't complained and his snarky comment wasn't appreciated. The food was good but not what was on the menu or what we ordered.

Great local Italian food, excellent service, and a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. When the Vizzinis left and Jose and his family took over, they continued to honor that familial and traditional feel of Sal De Fortes. When you sit down and settle in for your meal, you can tell it’s family owned and operated and that the food will be delicious.
All I can say the food was excellent and the service was fantastic. This is not a cheap place to eat, you get what you pay for. Top notch establishment. Thanks for a great time.

Like a few others have stated I along with several others in our party of 6 have been dinning here for a few years. I’m not one to bash a place but my last 2 meals at this place have been barely edible. We ordered several apps and can’t complain about those as all were decent. However our entries were mediocre at best. My cousin had the steak which he said was the worst in his lifetime. His fiancé got the vodka rig, which was inedible. My pasta dish was extremely salty and had way too many onions. Unfortunately this experience is very similar to the one we had the time before and it’s time to move on from this place. Extremely unfortunate as we have enjoyed several great meals here over the years but something tells me the end is near as the place was dead on a Sunday evening.

Ordered take out for 3 dinners to go. 2 out of 3 meals we found long black hair in our meals. When we call restaurant to complain the manager said no one here has long dark hair and not apologetic at all. We brought food back for a refund and there were several woman with long dark hair. So if you want hair in yr dinner try there.
