Food is tasty and authentic except for the jerk chicken. It was extremely salty. Like why????

I chose this restaurant to cater an end-of-school year party for my student group at an area university. The food was fresh, expertly seasoned and delicious. The students loved the food and several people asked where the food was from. I returned the next day to get my own dinner. The owners are also friendly and helpful. Don’t miss the curried chicken and jerk chicken patties.

Went to this place after seeing good reviews. I placed a pickup order online. A confirmation # was sent and my pickup time was 2:20 - 2:25. Once I arrived I find the business closed and my account was charged. Don't get scammed.

I am in the middle of eating a pretty much perfect order of curry goat. The goat is as tender as can be, just falling off the bone. The gravy and the seasoning are just right. The rice and peas are tender and juicy. The cabbage is cooked to perfect tenderness with beautiful seasoning and I can't even imagine what their jerk chicken is like, but you can believe I will be coming back to find out. The portions are more than generous, the woman behind the counter was incredibly kind and nice, the restaurant is spotless, and the little shopping mall could not be more easy. What a Find!

Walkers is one of the best kept secrets in Ewing, NJ. My brother was in the area and I had to bring him there to taste their amazing food. We ordered several platters to sample. Since I accidentally found Walkers 6 months ago, the food is consistently delicious with just the right level of spice and flavor. They also offer a wide range of options that are available daily. I have had the oxtails, curry chicken, brown stewed chicken, and pork. All were absolutely delicious! We sampled the salmon dressed with a pineapple and it was both slightly sweet with a nice kick. The chef definitely has a distinctive flair I haven’t experienced before and I am here for all of it! The sides were equally delicious: mac n cheese, plantain, stewed cabbage, and calaloo with saltfish which was an unexpected delight—had no idea these two could work together so well from a flavor profile. The restaurant is small with about 3-4 tables for dining in, but it is immaculately maintained and very welcoming. The food is neatly displayed in a large steam table and it looks and smells so appetizing it makes you want to order two of everything. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who kindly allowed us to sample some of the items before deciding on which to purchase, which we greatly appreciated. She was generous with the gravy making the rice and peas so delicious. Not all restaurants are so generous or accommodating. We spent about $55 for three large platters of food with leftovers for the next day and we still had enough to send my brother home with lunch and dinner for himself for the next day. In terms of flavor, value, and customer service, Walkers has quickly become our favorite Jamaican restaurant in NJ. They may even be my favorite restaurant period. I cannot recommend this little treasure highly enough. Hopefully, they will find much success and expand their restaurant because they have something really special to offer. Try them and tell a friend!
