Bella Vita Italian Restaurant

I have been eating at Belle Vita since 2003, when I moved to Fairlawn.

The place has alway had extra great pizza, the owner/pizza maker having honed his skills in the dog-eat-dog pizza capitol of Brooklyn, NY where pizza HAS to be top notch or you close shop.

It has not dissappionted all these years.

12 years ago, I moved from Fairlawn to another town (4 miles) away, but still occasionally come back for their pizza.

The place has lost traffic since Shoprite moved a few miles away a few years back (2 or 3 years ago), but the pizza quality still remains the same.

I especially recommend their chicken marsala pizza. You used to be able to buy it by the slice, when there was more traffic.

Now, you have to buy it by the pie (less business due to Shoprite), but it's to die for, and I am sure your family will love it.

And the service is still just as good.

I am 23 years a Belle Vita pizza fan. Still just as good as the first day I moved into Fairlawn, and found them.

Best pizza I’ve had since living in NYC! Love it

I have been a customer for so long but the place has changed quite a bit , this is the last time I will order from there. I have called for the last time to complain about cold hard pizza ; they don’t understand the concept of what fresh pizza means , they are also rude , they can’t take criticism about their food as for caring for their customer’s needs and wants ; thats out of the question .

I went to place a late order and didn’t notice it was half hour before closing. I went for a Chicken Ceaser salad and a Calzone but when I got home the salad was empty. There is a guy in there kinda rude with a pitbull face that shoulda told me the kitchen was closed instead of giving me a plain salad. When he took my order both guys and Mr Chubby at the front were looking at me as if I was bothering to order so late.

Pitbull face was grilling me while making my order too. I def felt weird about it. After many years I definitely would not be spending my money there again. Btw there is a really pleasant guy there whom usually takes my order but he wasn’t there that day.

Great Pizza.

I’m giving 5 stars cuz I wanna be supportive of this place. But. The pizza. Sauce to cheese ratio. On point. Sauce was delicious and cheese was perfect. However it wasn’t crispy. Might’ve just need a little more time in the oven is all. I enjoyed it tho. Want the place to be better. I know it can cuz it has everything is needs to have a perfect pizza. But just misses the mark with the slice cuz it’s floppy. Little more time in the oven I think would fix it. Thanks for the pie tho. Will come again

The best slice in this NJ area. No other place has crust this thin with that crispy crunch. The cheese to sauce ratio is perfecto!
