I ordered eggs over medium and the whites were completely raw. I cut into them and my plate was flooded with raw egg white. I asked for my eggs to be made again and the waitress acted like she’d never heard of such a thing. And then they tried to charge me for both the wrong meal and the correct meal. They also close way earlier than their online posted hours.

Been going to the Empress now the Fair Lawn diner for many years. Since the new owners I was excited about the new added menu items, etc. Long story short, food is horrible. Microwaved, dry, overcooked and small portions. Had an omelette this morning and it was totally dry. Eggs way overcooked! Below is a picture of my toast. One totally burnt and the other barley toasted and totally stale! We keep coming back to give it another try, but this was out last time. One waitress yelled out loud at another waitress right in front of us. The original guys server men that work there are great. Thats why I'm giving it 2 stars.

Do not order delivery. Came all wrong and was told it was my fault. Corned beef was dry fries were hard , cheese on top was so hard you couldn’t get through it. And soup missing.Was told the only thing she could do is give me a credit. Problem is how you give somebody a credit when they don’t really know who you are. That’s why they do it that way. $85 and had to throw most of it in the garbage. So miss the old owner and diner.

Reuben with pastrami was good. Three of us ordered the same. Dining area was clean and staff were nice. The men's restroom definitely needs to have someone mop it a couple times a day!
