So I was first turned on to The Habit in its original hometown of Santa Barbara CA by my step father Sean Kelly who grew up there. I love this place and was excited many years ago to see that there was a location in Fair Lawn on my way home from work. I eat here often and have yet to be disappointed. My only gripe is with humanity that would chose to order through a kiosk and not to have a one on one human interaction with one of their extremely polite, efficient, and helpful staff. Skip the Kiosk!!! Talk to the staff. Make eye contact and say please and thank you! You will not be disappointed!! Love this place and I love the staff. Always friendly and helpful.

Just spent 30 minutes being looped in a circle by the AI answering system.
This is the 3rd issue I’ve had with ordering delivery from Habit. My orders have always had one or two things wrong. Once you submit an order online, there is no way to modify an order. If an order is made incorrectly, there is no way to rectify that issue without going into the store.
On its best day, habit burger is okay. But lately it doesn’t seem capable of meeting even mediocre standards unless you physically go to the store.
I only order delivery when our schedule is crazy. Meaning, I don’t have 30 minutes to go drive to the store to try to rectify incorrect orders.
If I had time to leave the house for a burger, I wouldn’t waste my time or money eating inside at habit burger.

Had a great experience at The Habit Burger in Fair Lawn, NJ! The food was fresh and delicious as always, but what really stood out was the amazing customer service. I believe his name was Jan—he was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right with our order. It's not often you come across that level of care in fast casual dining. Big thanks to Jan for making our visit extra enjoyable!

I cama to the fairlawn location on 8/17/25 @ 630pm. I'm really pleased to see such clean, friendly, and well manged store. The entire staff including the manger are all relaxed composed and working extremely well together. I made a mistake on my order and the manager on duty helped with such ease and professionalism that I was taken back by the entire experience here. This fairlawn location deserves recognition for such a well maintained store kudos

We had never eaten here , mistakenly thinking it would be pricey. But the prices are reasonable, the food is fresh amd delicious and the staff here are friendly and accommodating. We had Harvest Chopped Salad ( so yummy) and Teriyaki Char Burger with White American cheese, the very best crisp and hot french fries, and a Hand Spun Mocha Shake. Our taste buds and tunmies are happy! We highly recommend to anyone who is in the area!

The burgers are tasty, definitely above average. Food is made quickly and they’ve never messed up my order. Workers are kind and helpful.
I have no complaints about this location specifically, but I do have an issue with how high the prices are. A burger and a small tray of fries should not cost $12 at any fast food restaurant. That’s a price you would pay at a sit-down restaurant.

The RESTAURANT messed up. This was actually through Uber eats. Looks like you’re better off just getting your food direct. This is what I got, being that my order request was for a well done burger. The option was there. Restaurant did not want to at least discount. Ok!
