We’ve been loyal guests of Ninety Acres for years. It’s a stunning restaurant—warm leather, rich wood, beautiful lighting—and every visit used to feel like a true treat. As foodies who fine-dine often, this has always been one of our favorite spots for special occasions.
One of the things we’ve always loved most is settling into the big leather chairs by the bar, enjoying a cocktail, and easing into a beautiful meal with excellent service. For my birthday this year, we were really looking forward to that same elevated experience, but things have definitely changed.
They’ve now begun charging $20 for valet, which felt unexpectedly tacky for a restaurant of this caliber. And the moment we walked in, it already felt off. The hostess stand was staffed by what looked like a bunch of teenage girls, none of whom offered the warm professionalism we’ve always associated with Ninety Acres. Instead of a refined welcome, it felt like we had walked into a TGI Friday’s, not one of the area’s most upscale dining rooms.
We had specifically requested one of the tables by the bar—those cozy spots we’ve always enjoyed—and the hostess’s response was essentially a dismissive “whatever.” We ended up waiting near a crowded bar filled with people in jeans and sneakers, which completely undercut the atmosphere this restaurant used to be known for.
The meal itself was very good, but the chocolate cake was extremely dry—almost inedible. When I asked about it, I was told it was vegan and made with coconut oil. We’re dairy-free at home and bake with coconut oil regularly, and our cakes come out perfectly moist—so that explanation didn’t hold much weight.
It pains me to say it, but Ninety Acres is slipping, both in service and overall experience. We’ve loved this place for years and genuinely hope it returns to the exceptional standard it once held, but for now, we won’t be visiting nearly as often.

My spouse and I recently dined at Ninety Acres, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and perfectly suited for a special occasion.

We started with the burrata, which was beautifully plated. It was creamy, fresh, and perfectly complemented by the roasted squash, pine nuts, and vibrant green sauce underneath. For our entrées, the chicken was cooked to perfection with crispy skin and a flavorful sauce, while the sides of broccoli and crispy potatoes over a silky purée were both rich and satisfying. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and balanced in flavor.

To finish the night, we had vanilla gelato with a wafer and lavender macarons accompanied by a congratulations chocolate piece which was a lovely and personal touch that made the evening feel truly special.

We had a party of six women who saved up a whole year to visit this restaurant. The service was wonderful and the food was just ok for the price they charge. The bread which had six little pieces was sixteen dollars. The size of one roll was less than a Kings Hawaiian roll and they gave you only six not worth the price. I had the steak which was cook perfectly but was small. The best part was the cocktails i had an Espresso Martini which was wonderful. Also they charge $20 dollars for valet service after spending $720.00 unbelievable

Food is excellent, drinks are good, deserts are exactly how the should top off he meal. Table servis superb.
Very disappointed with the valley parking arrangements. I am more than happy to add $25 tip for a great service...but I dont pay $25 to park my car at the restaurant. This will not happen again.

Not our best experience here. Some dishes were fabulous ...others were epic fails. The Parker house rolls are tiny, really tiny but tasty. Beet & Carrot tartare and Burrata apps were quite tasty. The Tuna crudo was meh. Chicken, steak, lobster roll and Pork Flatbread were all on point. The snapper was also meh, and over done. The desserts were all awful. The apple pie pavlova was over baked, not all chewy just super super crunchy all the way through. The chocolate cake was also not good, super super dry and icing was not making up for the sponge. The coffee was amazing though! Service was basically non existent...we rarely saw our server; no manager came by either so we couldn't give real time feedback. As an example we ordered a cocktail soon after we sat down but well before we ordered our meals; and with slow or no service, the drinks came after apps were served. We just didn't feel like the restaurant cared we were there. Tough night to celebrate a birthday. the surprise birthday mousse was actually pretty good, but they actually had the nerve to charge us for it (when we didn't order it)....was not their best showing . We have been other times and it has been better. Also, valet is now $20...

The restaurant and it's grounds are beautiful. It is definitely worth checking out even if you just go for some cocktails which are delicious (we tried Gimlet, Negroni and Plum & Proper). It is warm and inviting, upscale and sophisticated. Service is top notch, with all staff being attentive and polite. Food presentation was visually stunning for most dishes. With that said, I have to honestly say not all dishes were up to par. We started of with Charred Carrot & Beet Tartare which was amazing. We loved the presentation and taste. Next was Lemon Ricotta Agnolotti, didn't disappoint either. New England Scallops were good but for 2 pieces not worth the price. Last appetizer was Bluefin Tuna Crudo which was our least favorite and bit disappointing. For main entree we had Pork chop that was very tasty. Rare Prime Rib Stake, juicy and delicious. Fish filet was next. Last dish was Cauliflower. Seasoning on it was tasty but it was overcooked, falling apart and not visually appetizing. We ended the evening with 3 desserts. Mini Pavlova, not impressed at all with this one. Mixed sorbet was fine. Last was Sunday, even though was good it was very rich an overwhelming, we were not able to finish it

We had high hopes for this restaurant so we came for our anniversary. The food was very good, but overall the experience was disappointing given their reputation.

Our waiter was nice, but we felt mostly ignored. Our drinks and waters sat empty much of the night. And, while we did tell them we weren't in a rush, it took quite a while to place our orders and it was difficult to get any server's attention.

They also didn't do anything special for our anniversary. We would have liked even just a little message on our desert plate, but there was nothing. Again, given the reputation and price we expected something extra in the experience.

I had the red snapper, my wife had the steak. Both were delicious. And the cocktails we were able to get were also very good. But we've had better food and drink for less money in places easier to get into. We expected more from the environment and service.

One of the the waiter's, Sam, did come by to wish us a happy anniversary. He had served my parents a day or two prior and found us of his own volition to say hi, and that was very appreciated. Please give him a raise.

Overall the experience was disappointing and we probably won't be back.

A Magical Evening at Ninety Acres Last night, I had a truly wonderful dinner at Ninety Acres celebrating my 20th anniversary with my wife. We started with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine at the bar, where the service was exceptionally kind and welcoming—setting the tone for the evening. Once seated, we were lucky to have Oscar as our waiter. His service was outstanding: warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu with care, making each dish sound even more enticing. Every course was a delight—from the appetizer to the main course, wine pairing, and dessert. The flavors were rich and beautifully balanced, making for an unforgettable culinary experience. The ambiance was equally impressive. The interior was cozy and elegant, while the outdoor setting offered a magical farm-style atmosphere that added a unique charm to the night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special dining experience with impeccable service and a serene environment.

Delicious vegetarian option. Waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. Would have enjoyed the option to have a burger / lobster roll in the bar area not just at the bar

The food and ambiance were truly spectacular — both visually appealing and full of flavor. However, the portion sizes left something to be desired; after finishing my entrée, I found myself still hungry and wishing for a more satisfying serving. Service, unfortunately, did not meet the expectations of a fine dining experience. We waited quite a while for our drinks and had to flag down the waiter twice just to place an order. When our drinks finally arrived, the initial order was incorrect, though it was corrected promptly and courteously. Still, in a restaurant of this caliber, I would have expected more attentive and timely service from the start.

The halibut with veggie medley was good. My wife had the lobster with squid ink gemelli, no flavor and not so good. Lemon meringue pie was good with toasted graham cracker crust. Chocolate cake was fair. Scallops were ammonia flavored which meant they were old. Tuna had no flavor. Cheese crisps in the bread basket were excellent. Fries were great. 2 glasses of Falinghina, great. Service was very good. I was expecting better. 😢
