This used to be my go to restaurant. The service was lackluster, like the server dint crack a smile once, like she didn't want to even be there. The bathrooms smelled bad. The chicken in my pad Thai tasted old. When I asked the server for cilantro to sprinkle on my pad Thai, she said they didn't have any. Thai ice tea was good, but not good enough to go back. I'll skip this place next time. Acceptable but not good enough to go back. It's a bummer they used to be good!Vegetarian options: A vegetarian will find something here. Nice variety of sushi and other dishes. I finally realize that I don’t like any of the sushi with the spicy meat because it’s chopped up and I don’t quite like the texture, but all the other dishes, especially eel, crunchies, and masago are my favorite ingredients.

Not a great first experience. A grumpy man took our phone reservation. Same grumpy man sat us when we arrived. Wait staff was impeccable and very friendly . Food was mediocre, nothing special. Can't think of a reason to return.

Food taste good still can be improved slightly. Spring rolls and volcano roll both tasted good but chicken and beef terriyaki need little bit more work. Also, thanks to that lady that came and took the order as well as served it. She was good as she came to check back in and ask before picking up plates. Front desk person definitely need some more pleasant personality. Restroom was clean and well maintained. Overall service and food could be improved more. Definitely give a try leave that review people about how you feel.

Some of the best sushi in the area. I have tried a few things outside of sushi and they were great too. All around good spot for take oit or dine in.
hands down the best sushi in flemington. the rolls may be smaller than what you could get someone else, but the quality is unmatched. The fish is fresh and delicious. service is excellent. and the food that comes from the kitchen is also delicious. It’s small inside but truly a gem. Highly recommend. also BYOB.

I've ordered sushi from Aikou since they opened in our area. At first their food was excellent, but I noticed it was starting to slip. However, we ordered there about a month ago. I told them I have a severe peanut allergy. I ordered Sushi as well as a few other items on the menu including Chicken Lo Mein. I had one bite of the chicken lo mein and immediately knew that their was some sort of peanut product in there. My husband tried it and confirmed the peanut flavor. My husband calmly called to clarify and ask about the possibility of cross contamination. Aikou insisted it wasn't possible and claimed that they had no manager available on a Friday night! I wound up using my epi-pen and having to go to the ER all night to the next day. I then called Aikou the next evening (Saturday night), and I calmly explained the situation and my concerns. I also asked for a refund, as we did not continue to eat the food after I became incredibly ill. The person on the phone yelled at me and added that they have no management that cares about my complaints. I tried calling the next week, but after more profanities were thrown my way, I just gave up. I realize food allergies can be hard to accommodate, but I would have liked them either to say, "we can't promise that our food will be safe for you," or just an apology and a refund. Since neither of those things happened, and I was verbally abused by the restaurant, I will no longer be soliciting it. I am writing this to warn others with food allergies and to point out that this is just lousy customer service.
