I literally never write reviews ever but I come to blue fish often to get takeout because I love their bowls. I was excited to be able to get takeout from them tonight because I had been craving it all week but I wasn’t able to make it in and so I put in an order right after I got off work and headed over. After I came home and got ready to eat I realized that the salmon I got was not cooked. I’m pretty sure they do sell raw fish items on the menu but this was supposed to be cooked, I’ve gotten this bowl numerous times, so I called them and very politely explained the situation and the lady on the phone (Jenn) scoffed and said “okay?” So I asked if I could get a refund she said yes, but then proceeded to tell me that I could just “pop it in the oven or microwave and that would probably do the trick” in a very condescending tone. After telling me she issued the refund I wanted to address what she had just told me but she literally hung up the phone on me as I was getting my sentence out. I’m sorry but after paying $24 for a meal I don’t expect to have to cook it myself.

My last review noted that the quality of food and service was on the decline. They've reached the bottom. Overall their food is simply "meh". Last night we ordered their avocado/wild mushroom tacos. What mushrooms there were, were cold and like leather. There was enough arugula piled on top of the tacos for 4 orders and they were stone cold. The only thing warm in the main dish were the plantains. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl and it was just ok. It was not a tasty dish and I would not order again. Add to that a very overly spiced mushroom/ pozole soup and you have the ingredients for an awful dinner. Don't know what has happened here but it is best avoided.

I've been debating for a little bit on whether or not to write a review, but last weekend I was able to try this place for dinner. The Tokyo Tacos were tasteless. I was missing the ginger completely, and ended up making my own wasabi sauce for them since there was barely any on them and I didn’t taste a drop of wasabi. On top of this, the fries were sugared instead of salted. I have no idea whether or not this was a mistake, but peppered and sugared fries with dinner aren't appetizing to me.The Calamari was phenomenal. & the bite of the Calimex burrito I had made my mouth water for more. I'm not a fan of beans in burritos at all, but I didn't mind with this one. I've never been able to say that!All in all, I'd give this place another go.

We go here regularly and happy with the experience and food. The beef barbacoa nachos are the bomb and specials are usually very good. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu really. We've had Jackson as a server last couple of visits and he's fantastic. Pleasant, responsive and attentive. Highly recommend a visit.Dine in: Yes
