We go to Mangia Bene regularly. It is a hidden gem of Flemington, tucked into the Ramada Inn on Route 202/31 North. The food is always delicious, high quality, very fresh, and very reasonably priced. They are also always willing to customize dishes (and even cook something you suggest on your own). Tonight I needed something very plain to deal with a special medical diet and they made me an absolutely delicious grilled bronzini fish with sautéed vegetables, and a delightful salad....
On recommendation from a friend, my husband and I had dinner here last Saturday evening. The restaurant is attached to the Ramada Inn and can be easily missed if you are not on the look-out for it. Our dinner was delicious and service was excellent. We shared an appetizer of hot sausage, broccoli, canellini white beans, fresh tomatoes, sautéed with garlic & oil. It was so tasty. Had I not been told by reliable friends to try Mangia Bene, I admit, I would have driven right past this hidden gem that is located on route 31, to the right of the Yellow hotel front of the Ramada (but in the same building). My point: Just try it! The staff is so warm and welcoming and so professional. Once you pass the hostess table you begin to feel less like you are in a shady hotel and more like you are in Europe...you feel like you are entering a much nicer place with each...
