The quality of this place has gone downhill, food looks gross and quantities are really small, I go to the dos toros in nyc and it feels like different franchises altogether. Last time I am coming to this place.

Food was edible, but definitely not good. The pork was dry and flavorless, as was the Mexican rice. The steak was seasoned well, but rubbery. My kids' quesadillas had no cheese, so neither would eat them. The bowl was only half full. The guacamole seemed watery.

Pretty good! Very comparable to Chipotle overall but they had nachos so I got that. Chips had a really nice crunch and texture and all the topping complimented each other very nicely! Wouldn't come out of my way to come here but would come back if I'm in the area and craving Mexican food.

Good food and generous quantities depending on when you go there. During busy times the options are not so generous. Expensive for a chain.

This is going to sound very strange, but the corn tortillas smell like brand new rubber sneakers. I love Mexican food and have tried this place twice, but it just doesn't work for me.

Not sure if the chips are old or if the frying oil needs to be changed but a very odd/musty taste and smell coming from the nachos I ordered. This place is hit or miss but staff is nice.

Came to this Dos Toros with usual expectations on a Tuesday night.. firstly before the food review .. I should mention the staff here is great and took extra care of our order and very friendly... However the food didn't feel fresh or well done We ordered a chicken burrito and a chicken verde burrito bowl- the beans seemed off and the pico de gallo / corn salads also weren't great... the chicken didn't taste that great.. so all in all it was not a good experience especially we know what to expect at a Dos Toros in NYC other places.. not sure if this was a Tuesday thing slow day or a bad batch of items but we didn't enjoy our dinner a lot... Would be cautiously optimistic next time ..

Angelique is the only reason I eat here the food is always good but she’s really good at rolling burritos and it’s perfect everytime. If she’s not there I don’t place an order. Very sweet young lady. She’s really makes it an enjoyable experience.

Usually pretty good but last few visits there has been no steak out and they have been very stingy with thr portion of steak given. I got a small portion of steak and asked for a bit more. I didn't want a double portion, just a bit more. They rudely refused.

When Dos Toros first opened, the meat was consistently inedibly salty. I gave it at least 5 different chances before I decided no more. However fast forward two years later, due to its close proximity to me over chipotle, I decided to give it another chance and wow! A 180 change! Food is now delicious and perfectly cooked. The carne asada bowl is my usual order. And I've been ordering pretty consistently since and has always been delicious and up to expectations. My only critique (which it's other competitors are guilty of as well) is that sometimes their grains are not cooked perfectly and can be a little hard/crunchy. If you have not been here a while because you haven't been satisfied, give it another shot. I really hope this place will be here to stay for a long time to come!

Very rude staff. The service is very poor. The counters run out of stuff and staff wont even bother to refill. The staff does not clean spills promptly leaving the counter as is. Ill stay away from this place.

I don’t know what they use to cook their rice. Coconut oil maybe? Or maybe too much oil? Or dirty oil? No idea but it completely threw off the flavor of the entire bowl and I could not even finish and I’m well known to be a garbage disposal lol Best part was the atmosphere, staff and Jarritos. I miss Qdoba. This is my first and last experience here.

So glad I stopped in. Great Brussels bowl. The cashier was chomping away on something( probably the amazing food), made me question the cleanliness of the store, which is an automatic +2 in the Mexican food category. It was great. I should have grabbed some of the meat they offered, but I wasn't disappointed with the Brussels.....

Walked in looked at the place and almost walked back out but decided to give it a try… mistake. Grill was dirty, proteins and toppings looked old and taste confirmed it. Corn tortillas tasted rancid, threw out the food and now waiting hoping I don’t have food poisoning. Disgusting place, where is the health inspector?

Significantly better than Chipotle. From the quality of their ingredients to the authenticity of their dishes. The quac & the hot sauces are really good.
