It was a 4 stars diner when I write about it a year ago. This time a bit disappointed. We ordered lunch specials: Beef Noodles (Gulash Ukrainian style) and Lentil Soup; Fish & Chips and Navy Bean Soup; Flounder Sandwiches and Chicken Orzo Soup. And an Italian Wedding Cake for deserts.\n\nAs you can see from the photos: the beef were dried and not enough sauce…the flounder was thin and dried and over cooked. The fish and chips were fine but the portion was small.
Easy to miss if you aren’t looking. Located in a strip mall is usual for a diner but it works here. We sat in a big booth and enjoyed our time. The eggs benedict were nicely done. The corned beef hash is always a guilty pleasure. The chicken salad melt was ok and I wouldn’t reorder. I love diners and I hope they never go away.
I met my cousin and his two sons here for breakfast last Sunday morning. It was nice and cool and we had breakfast on the patio. Everything about it was fantastic. Atmosphere, service, food. I lived in New Jersey for 40 years, and lived in Florida for the past 18. I miss diners. They are a rare thing in Florida. This diner was great. I spent a few minutes talking to the manager before I was seated. A very nice man who is running an excellent diner.
