Papouli's Brick Oven Pizza

We had been pretty regular customers with Papoulis, we typically order through Slice. On a recent order, the food quality was terrible. We had ordered a mussel dish and the mussels were so smashed up with shells that it was completely inedible. Obviously, it is understandable that they may have just had a bad night in the kitchen but the customer service was terrible. They initially refused a refund. Then agreed if they could come pick up the food from our porch; they never came and it sat on our porch all night and was a mess to clean up in the morning. We were given a partial refund by Slice but the restaurant never made right. They lost previously loyal customers.

The best pizza in town with the friendliest staff! Viktor and Caroline are always so pleasant and welcoming. When you come to Papouli’s you feel like you’re visiting family! The food is soooo good! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried! Pizza- excellent! Always made like north Jersey pizza! The sauce is flavorful, the crust is just the right thickness, nice and crispy everytime! Garlic knots- fabulous! Baklava and the Spanitokopita- best I’ve ever had! So flaky! Nice and deep thick slices full of flavor. Fresh ingredient. They make everything fresh here. It’s a great atmosphere with beautiful plants throughout the restaurant. Absolutely, our favorite place!

Ordered a chicken cutlet sub with mozzarella and vodka sauce on the side. Delivered a roll with grilled chicken on it. Called back to ask for correct sub, heard a man yelling in the background about how long I’ll have to wait for it. Got my food an hour later. Cold and dry. Disappointing.

I tried to make an order and the girl was very nasty I asked to speak to a manager and no help there every time you called them back either they blocked you or they just hung up and this was my first time ordering from them I highly don’t recommend this restaurant

Let the photos speak for themselves. Ordered pick up for take out. The calzone was full of watery ricotta, almost like soup. When we called, they said it was normal but offered a replacement. We brought the calzone back to show them, and they admitted, 'That's not right.' No discount or token of appreciation was offered for the poor dish or free delivery, so we had to drive there again in the middle of dinner, which an offered delivery or a discount for the future might have encouraged me to return. The replacement stromboli was mostly bread with very little filling. I won't be coming back. The garlic knots were good, but the meatballs were subpar. Maybe they have good pizza, but I wouldn’t recommend the stromboli or calzone.

This place is an absolute gem! The food is next level delicious! The employees are so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Did I mention the food is delicious? I have yet to have a meal there that I am not drooling over. 10 out of 10!!

My entire family is ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with the food here! The deep dish white pie is what we started with. A MUST TRY! We've been trying something new everytime we order and have NEVER been disappointed!! I actually cannot say that about any other place here in the Bayville area. Papoulis is CONSISTENTLY delicious! Food is always good and the workers are friendly

They make the best Mediterranean salad I have ever eaten! The dressing is so good I could drink it with a straw. I literally could eat this salad every single day and not get tired of it.
