First timer. Liked the baseball theme. Happened to arrive just as trivia was starting (Friday). Had the chicken nachos and wife had garlic parmesean boneless wings. Both were very good. Trivia was fast-paced and fun. Will be back.

Pine tar is a good tavern with good comfort food! Andrew our waiter was attentive and very personable. Frankly after reading many reviews we were hesitant about trying pine tar, but was absolutely 💯 satisfied! The hamburger was definitely not a frozen manufactured burger but hand made and cooked to perfection. The grilled chicken sandwich was absolutely off the charts. Not sure why they are getting some negative reviews unless it's coming from competitors or former employees. 🤔 and of course no restaurant is 100% perfect. I feel that everyone should make their own opinion of the pine tar. I am sure if Andrew is there he will make sure all is good IF you let him know there is a problem..

I had to use 8 or so napkins to soak the grease off my pepperoni bar pie and even then it was basically inedible due to the cheap cheese and lack of sauce. After all that the pizza was $21. Will not be visiting again.

Ray the bartender is amazing! Your drinks are never empty. Ray made us a Smoked Old Fashion with some added touches it was delicious. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. The Hotsy Totsy Shrimp and Thinny Thin Pie with Pepperoni and Black Olives were both outstanding.

I had a good time at the trivia night this past Friday, and I really wanted to like this place. However, I was bedridden for the next two days because my I got such bad food poisoning from here. I don't know if it was the bad food or a grimy glass. All I know is I was almost hospitalized because of how dehydrated I was after "evacuating" the contents of my stomach from both ends. Atmosphere was good, not great. Service was good not great. Food and drinks were meh tasting and detrimental to my health. Also, very overpriced for serving poison.

Went out with a group of friends. The service was okay. My friend tipped accordingly and the bartender felt the need to say that the tip wasn't enough. Actually disappointed that we came across some one that is entitled enough to argue about a tip in front of a bunch of people. Pine Tar do better.
Food wasn’t the worst but nowhere near decent. Only leaving this review because the service was awful beyond belief. Waited forever for drinks and food, then was greeted with attitude when asked how things were. On top of that, was confronted about the tip which was generous for the non existent service.

Went there the other day & sat at the bar with some friends. Bartender took a while to get our order but he seemed stressed or unhappy to be there. We asked for a certain drink & he responded don’t make it hard just let us know what is in it which was a bit rude. It did seem he was by himself for a bit so that could be why. Food was alright but atmosphere was good. As i see in other reviews, as an owner dont tell your negative reviews to go back somewhere or to vote for the president you don’t like. be professional
