Update: October 2, 2025. I ordered the Taiyaki today and the amount of red bean in them is so little that I had to complain. Ultimately the server argued that he put in A LOT despite my saying it’s the smallest amount I’ve ever seen in my Taiyaki…

The americanos here are TERRIBLE. They weren’t before, but I’ve had to request that the servers make the americanos again.
This used to be my regular place…. I love the bread, cookies, and deserts here. But I go to Cafe Trois more often just because their americanos are good.
I’m hoping that the owner reads this review and considers retraining his workers how to make proper americanos.

9/12/25, 4:25 PM, we purchased items here and the worker who is Korean charged us an item for something we didn’t purchase at all. He said he didn’t care about anything we said. I don’t recommend giving this person a job and don’t buy from here.

Please don’t call customers at 7am —twice, after the first call was rejected—only to confirm the pick-up time of the cake that was ordered more than a week in advance. If you feel the need to apologize for the “very early call,” then wouldn’t it be better to wait until a reasonable hour? Why call at 7am in the first place?? I don’t understand.
Great pastries — esp mocha bread! — and cakes are also very well decorated and good to gift.
The bread is very tasty, but the chairs and tables are often left messy with crumbs, and I’ve never seen anyone clean or organize them.

Such a lovely spot! I tried a variety of their bakery items and most of them were absolutely delicious. The peach iced tea was super refreshing. It’s the kind of cozy cafe you find yourself wanting to go back to again and again. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! ꒰ᐢ. .ᐢ꒱

I had a lovely visit to this café in Hoboken.
The pecan stick was absolutely delicious~crispy, nutty, and just the right amount of sweetness.
I also enjoyed the caramel macchiato, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet.
What really stood out was the friendly service.
As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly with a smile.
It made the whole experience feel welcoming and comfortable.
