I don't know why bibimbap has seaweed in it... It was hard to eat the bibimbap because the seaweed had a fishy smell.

Food is great, customer service is excellent. They made a mistake of putting scallions in my soup when I ordered it without them. Not only did they remade the soup but they also comped it. Very unexpected as typically restaurants would just remake the dish and I’m perfectly happy.

Been a customer of Gammeeok for many years since they started operating in NYC. These days everything served here is severely overpriced.

Very pleasant patio area. neatly divided and well-kept. The Seolleong Tang Deluxe that I received was ideal for a windy night. I can't compare because I've never tasted this soup meal before, but the tripe, cartilage, and tendon are all tasty. The beef bibimbap that my companion ordered arrived in a huge bowl. The lack of enough beef was her only grievance. One star down for the kimchi, which was the only bonchon they offered, but it was some of the best I've ever tasted at a restaurant. They gave us five minutes to place our orders and one menu.

The food is good but the service is a bit lacking. I came here for lunch on a rainy Sunday and surprisingly the place was pretty empty. But the front parking lot was full for some reason. There are additional spots in the back. Since we were a group of 7, they seated us in the room in the back. This was nice and private but also there is no call button and no one came to check up on us so whenever we needed something we had to yell or step out of the room to get someone's attention. They also kept forgetting things we asked for so we had to get up multiple times, which was inconvenient and disruptive. This could be easily solved with a call button and/or more attentive waitstaff. I also felt that our server was a bit cold/rude to us. Just the vibe wasn't very welcoming and she acted like she didn't want to be there. I ordered the seolleongtang, and it was pretty standard. Nothing amazing but not bad either. One weird thing is my rice came already in the soup... I prefer my rice on the side. If I had known, I might have specifically requested my rice on the side in advance. The Deluxe version comes with rice on the side. One thing about this soup is that you season it yourself- there's salt and pepper on the table. Season, taste, and add more until you like it (but do a little at a time bc it's not good if it's too salty.) They also give a big bowl of sliced scallion and I recommend adding a spoonful for the full experience. I also tried the cheese dolsamkim (basically kimchi/samgyupsal fried rice with cheese and corn, served in a hot stone pot so the rice gets crispy at the bottom). This dish comes with a small bowl of seolleongtang as well. It was really good and I'd get it again.

I recently visited a restaurant and was blown away by their sulungtang! The broth was rich and savory, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Everything was just so delicious that I couldn't stop slurping it up! If only the atmosphere was a little friendlier, it would have been perfect. But even so, I give this restaurant five stars for their amazing food. If you're a fan of sulungtang, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Horrible food. Kimchi has no taste and chopped scallions for 설렁탕 were old and had a weird smell. We didn’t finish 1/2 food at all. Never again.

Overall, the food isn’t bad. However, the change in the serving size is absolutely disappointing. I’ve came to this restaurant four times this year and ordered the same dish every single time. The last time I came was August and since then the serving size decreased by half. It is noticeable at first sight. Barely noticeable amounts of cheese and meat when that was one of the important parts of the dish. When I asked the worker, all he said was that I possibly got more than normal serving size in the past. How is that possible when I came here multiple times and it was the same size until now? I have visual aid for people to see by the way (the right is the reduced size). Anyways, this all wouldn’t be a problem if they decreased the price but the price still stands strong.
