What’s hilarious about this is that my fiancée actually went back the very next day when the store opened, calmly and politely explained the situation to the staff member working that shift, and the staff member gladly gave my fiancée a refund right there and then.
The fact that you’re the “owner” of this franchise establishment is even more hilarious, seeing as no self respecting business owner, franchise or otherwise, would ever in their right mind do what you are doing- which is arguing with a customer that spent money on something they did not order.
Posting arguments with your customer base is not progressive, it’s not brave, it’s really confusing on your part seeing as some of your staff understand how to carry out proper customer service. Shout out to the nice staff member working the opening shift on Monday 8/19/24- you are actually the real hero in this story and I wish nothing but good things for you, thank you ??
To the owner of this GongCha location- I really think you should be less combative with your customers, especially if they are expressing negativity towards your establishment- maybe listen to them and make the changes necessary to do better, seeing as that is why reviews are here, so you the owner can make the changes necessary to mitigate on customers leaving your location with a bad taste in their mouth.
For those that are still reading, below you will find my original review from 8/18/24-
I am a new customer and thought I would be a regular for a long time- tonight changed that. My fiancé went out and placed my usual order, which is a large Taro Bubble Tea, with Tapioca Pearls and 30% Sugar. When my five came home with the drink, it was not Taro, but a regular milk tea. When I called this establishment to ask for a refund, my call was passed off to a few different people, one of them claiming to be the manager. I told him the situation and asked for a refund, and the “manager” said that there is a no refund, no remake policy unless the drink is still in the establishment, and the fault is on the GongCha staff. The “manager” claimed that he had called his regional manager and then processed to tell me that the order was repeated to my fiancee and he agreed to the order upon paying. My fiancée heard me struggling on the phone with the “manager” and then got on the phone and repeated what had happened when he went to order. My fiancée told the manager he REPEATED the correct order to the worker because he said it didn’t look right, and my fiancée could not see the label on the drink. My fiancée said the worker assured him that it was Taro. My fiancée also said that the “manager” on the phone was not the manager, it was actually the worker who incorrectly made the drink as he recognized his voice over the phone and told the staff member “you made the mistake, I asked YOU in person if this was Taro and you assured me it was, and I told you I only asked because it didn’t look like it usually does.”
In reading previous reviews, and GongCha’s response to some of them, I see that GongCha does look at the camera footage and the audio recording of interactions between customer and worker. I implore GongCha Corporate to look into this matter as we are not in the wrong here- my fiancée did confirm the order with the staff member, the staff member did not pay attention to my fiancée’s order- The visual and audio recordings will show that.

Update: Did you just blame other people for taking the wrong order? Are you kidding? And don't lie. I'm submitting this complaint because there was your attitude instead of an apology. How about an innocent apology?Today after lunch I ordered a Peach Slush with Milk Foam at the Fort Lee location. Upon checking my order, I realized that I had received a drink that I did not order. When I inquired about this to the cashier, I was met with resistance and with attitude. The cashier proceeded to tell me that she did not charge for the missing item and that I would be upcharged for correcting my order. I was shocked and speechless to say the least. How am I getting charged for something I ordered? How was the attitude I was met with when the mistake was clearly made by your employees? Certainly, a world renowned and international company such as GongCha does not treat its paying customers in such a manner. I demand an investigation into this location and also demand a report of what customer service trainings and continued trainings are given to your employees. I also demand an apology from your Fort Lee location as this was grossly and egregiously outside of GongCha's company policies. I ordered what I wanted and received a completely different drink, and I need to pay extra to receive what I ordered?? Please make this situation make sense.

Gong Cha is the best bubble tea spot. The tea is always good, you can choose your sugar levels and their tapioca pearl consistency and quality is really good compared to other places. They also have so many menu items to choose from and have new drinks often.
