The pork katsu portion is quite big. However, the meat is not very well seasoned. For the cheese pork katsu, it has lots of cheese and the pork is quite thin. I ordered the version with sweet potato paste on top; it's more on the sweet side. It is not bad, but feel like there is too much. The cabbage in the salad is cut quite thick instead of shredded finely and the sauce is honey mustard, leaning more mustard flavor. Weird that you need to pay $1 for a cup of ice 🙃

Messes up my order, no apology what so ever. First thing they said to me was, 'so what do you want me to do. There's nothing we can do for you. Call the Uber and deal it with yourself.' Yes, people can make mistake, and yes maybe they can't do much about it. But is it that hard to apology? They really need to do better with customer service.

Tried all menus, including original, curry, cheese, sweet potato, and wang. Food is mediocre and but overpriced, not any special than menu served in other restaurants. Door has not been fixed for YEARS altho it could pose serious danger to young kids/elderly. Store's fault 100% if/when someone gets injured, which will be in near future if not addressed. Subpar atmosphere in store; very messy and cleanliness nowhere to be seen. No dine in offered with kitchen view not available. Recommend 2/10.

Reply to owner: Door is very difficult for customers to open. Couple customers I saw today assumed store is closed and went to another. I had to call the business manually to see it's open today. If the doors hit someone on head, it's a big issue.

This USED to be my favorite place in fort lee...but lately their portion size got SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER.

Ordered chicken katsu, sweet potato cheese katsu and side of curry. Chicken katsu now comes with only 10-12 super small skinny pieces of katsu..but used to be much much more than this. We were very disappointed with change of portion. We were left still hungry after...?

The pork cutlet was always katsune, but the taste is a bit lacking these days, and is the amount of chicken cutlet really that good? I think it's only half of what it used to be... I'm so disappointed with my husband that I don't think I'll be going for a while.

I ordered pork cutlet, cheese pork cutlet, and fried shrimp. The batter was crispy and everything was delicious. The pickled onions that came as a side dish were very good as they went well with the pork cutlet. All the staff are very friendly.

Katsu was crispy outside and not dry inside.
The wine-colored-hair waitress was very kind ?

It would be better if they could spend some effort on dining experiences. Maybe better interior design, decorations, and lighting.
The takeaway boxes were exposed outside and I felt I was eating dinner at a factory.

Update: This place used to be amazing, but food quality isn't there anymore as if the owners have changed. Bread crumbs are oily and soggy while meat is dry. Sub-par katsu at best

As a Fort Lee local, Katsune is hands down the best Donkatsu place you can ever imagine it to be. Always fresh ingredients, crumbs are crisp and soft at the same time, and the meat is juicy. I've tried their Cheese, Regular pork, Menchi, and chicken katsu, and they are 10/10. Make sure you get the side curry as this is also another amazing addition for cheap price.

They know what they’re doing here! I’ve been here 3+ times and I think they’ve been very consistent. Great service and friendly people at the register. My to go order is the cheese katsu- perfect portioning. Agree with the suggestions to eat indoors to experience the freshness, everytime I’ve gone we either ate at the table or in the car outside.

If you’re looking for a quick, consistent, friendly place to get delicious katsu, highly recommend!

Love this mom & pop donkatsu place. Their curry is so buttery & delicious, pairs well with their fried menu options. I love their fried shrimp, it’s a pretty generous portion actually.

My husband get’s the cheese pork donkatsu, and I’d say it’s actually pretty small. Would recommend the regular donkatsu- more worth it.

Used to be a lot better, the food has gotten worse over time and the most recent visit left me with food poisoning. Pass.
