the wang katsu was amazing - honestly, I would give this 5 stars just for the katsu alone. with that said, sadly they forgot to give us rice with our order, which is also a big part of the meal. It might have been because we ordered right before closing so they were in a rush. we weren’t able to call them either because by the time we found out about the rice, the restaurant was closed. either way, really looking forward to coming again but would also appreciate some more carefulness

If I’m craving pork cutlet, I’d probably come back here. It’s the best spot for it in the neighborhood.

I was driving through the area with my gf and her dog when my car’s breaks started failing. I dropped it off at the nearest mechanic and walked to this restaurant because they had outdoor seating for our dog. Josh and the rest of the staff helped us tremendously by providing free water in a small bowl for our hot dog (lol). We got the katsune donkatsu which was amazing. Perfect balance of crispy and juicy- and the banchan and sauce added extra flavor 🙏

Walking into Katsune Donkatsu Cafe feels like discovering a friendly neighborhood gem of Japanese comfort food. The star of the show is their Chicken Katsu—a perfectly light, golden‑crisp batter encasing tender and very juicy.
The menu is broad and flavorful, from the indulgent Cheese Donkatsu to the rich Curry Pork and Wang Donkatsu .Prices are reasonable—most mains range from about $16–$22—offering a true value for top‑tier breaded perfection . Add‑ons like crisp slaw and tangy sauces round out the experience.
The vibe is casual and unpretentious: a no‑frills counter‑service space with outdoor seating options. If you’re craving satisfying Japanese comfort food—crispy, juicy, flavorful—Katsune Donkatsu Cafe is a must‑visit. Just be prepared to savor every crunchy bite.

Small Donkatsu/Fried Meat Cutlet store with incredible value and quality. We were craving for some donkatsu and this place delivers. Katsu was fried to perfection and the breading was just beautifully done. The meat itself is pretty tender but could do more of a seasoning to make it more flavorful. For the portion and quality, this place is well worth the visit though. The store itself is pretty small and looks like a lot of people orders this to-go or for delivery. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in the area and craving for some good katsu.

Best pork katsu I've had. The cheese katsu is excellent. Will be coming back often and will add this to my regular go-to places.

The pork katsu portion is quite big. However, the meat is not very well seasoned. For the cheese pork katsu, it has lots of cheese and the pork is quite thin. I ordered the version with sweet potato paste on top; it's more on the sweet side. It is not bad, but feel like there is too much. The cabbage in the salad is cut quite thick instead of shredded finely and the sauce is honey mustard, leaning more mustard flavor. Weird that you need to pay $1 for a cup of ice 🙃

Great and CHEAP place to spend for a quick lunch/dinner. Great filling portions. The tonkatsu was very tender and flavourful; no dryness on the inside and the outside texture is unique and wonderful. Love the flakiness which adds flavour. The curry was tasty and the coleslaw as well. Just a quick simple yet delicious meal and the only katsu-specialty restaurants ive ever been to.

Messes up my order, no apology what so ever. First thing they said to me was, 'so what do you want me to do. There's nothing we can do for you. Call the Uber and deal it with yourself.' Yes, people can make mistake, and yes maybe they can't do much about it. But is it that hard to apology? They really need to do better with customer service.

Tried all menus, including original, curry, cheese, sweet potato, and wang. Food is mediocre and but overpriced, not any special than menu served in other restaurants. Door has not been fixed for YEARS altho it could pose serious danger to young kids/elderly. Store's fault 100% if/when someone gets injured, which will be in near future if not addressed. Subpar atmosphere in store; very messy and cleanliness nowhere to be seen. No dine in offered with kitchen view not available. Recommend 2/10.
Reply to owner: Door is very difficult for customers to open. Couple customers I saw today assumed store is closed and went to another. I had to call the business manually to see it's open today. If the doors hit someone on head, it's a big issue.
