It used to be the best ramen spot in fort Lee. But the soup taste dropped a lot now. Hard to convince myself to go back again.

A solid ramen place. The flavor is on the authentic side but broth didn’t taste as rich as it looked. Added oil was doing heavy lifting in terms of texture. Tonkotsu is a great value at $15 , but pork piece was quite gamey. It could've been a bad batch. Despite the large bowl, portion size isn't big. I would probably skip the fried gyoza as the flavor of meat was mild and it was on the greasy side.

This is one of the great authentic ramen place. I love the soup, it's thick flavor with pork bone. The noodle is tender and smooth texture.

Surprisingly good tonkatsu ramen for $14.95–a lower price than the other local ramen places. I have been disappointed often at some of the other ramen places in Ft Lee, but the broth here was really flavorful, which means they probably boil the bones for a long time. Happy to have found this restaurant. Forgot to take a photo, but the presentation was nice.

Delicious! I love the miso Ramen with tofu or pork belly. Their gyoza are the best, so good.

The restaurant provided a comfortable ambiance, complemented by exceptional culinary offerings. The ramen was particularly noteworthy, featuring succulent pork marinated to perfection. The gyoza was expertly prepared, achieving a delightful crispness. Additionally, the service was prompt and courteous, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Many ramen places in Fort Lee, NJ (there used to be a large Japanese population here -but they all left when Korean-Americans started to move in). They are all good but this is my favorite one. Can't explain why. Sometimes we enjoy food for some emotional reason we can't explain. The decor seems more ramen-y (ramen shops shouldn't be high-brown, fancy or bougie). The staff with their bandanas and their chanting in Japanese seem like what you'd expect. Anyway, others agree because this place seems to be the busiest of all the ramen shops in town.

The best ramen in NJ
My husband and I were looking for a ramen spot when the algorithm led us to Menya. We saw such great reviews that we decided to give it a try. The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Japan. The atmosphere is super cozy, and the smell is amazing. The service? Absolutely 10000/10. Without a doubt, this is the best ramen I’ve had in New Jersey. Generous portions, incredible flavor—I highly recommend trying the original.

It's the best ramen of the area. We love place. My wife, my daughter, and I visit Menya Sandaime twice a month. Homemade noodles and ramen original flavor. The crispy gyozas are terrific.

Kid-friendliness: Kid's ramen.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's wheelchair ramp.

This place USED to be good. I came here 2 weeks ago and the noodles were very overcooked, the broth didn't have much flavor and so did the dishes as a whole. Definitely won't be coming back. This place lost its authenticity.

My family and I came here Thanksgiving evening and the owner graciously let us dine in just as they were about to close. I’m so thankful he did, because I can confidently say the ramen I had at Menya Sandaime was the best I’ve had in America. The broth, the noodles, the chashyu—it was all so reminiscent of the ramen we had in Japan, I was quite surprised to find it here. Such a kind owner and staff, such delectable food, a 10/10 spot. Thank you so much to the owner for his hospitality and service!
