First time visiting this location, and it didn’t disappoint! We were a group of four, and although I’ve been to their other spot before, this one stood out — especially because they offer fried chicken here.
We ordered ramen, and it was absolutely flavorful with a rich broth and generous portions. The highlight, though, was the fried chicken — crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Easily one of the best I’ve had at a ramen place. We also ordered a variety of Buns and they were amazing. The pork tempuras are a must.
Service was quick, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. I’m definitely coming back again.

Came in for a quick lunch with the wife. Loved the ramen and gyoza. Can’t wait to go back.
Every time I come to this location it’s always been disappointing. Ramen is fine but the service is so bad. Ordered shoyu ramen with extra meat and the Spanish server forgot. After I asked him about it, he asks me “are you sure?”. Yes I’m sure I told you.
1. Having a Spanish waiter doesn’t feel very Japanese.
2. Is he a cook or a waiter? I finished my meal but had to wait almost 10 minutes because he went to the kitchen to help the chef cook food? There were only 2 other tables, it wasn’t a dinner rush. It’s very unfortunate but I’ll prob not come back here again.
Update: came here and gave it another try since last time I made a review here. The service and ramen is fine but it is extremely slow. Didn’t come during lunch or dinner rush either. Waited almost 15 minutes for ramen. Will probably come back since I’m a fan of the shoyu ramen but the wait is a bit excessive.
The little ferry and Bergen blvd location does not have the same flavor as the original fort Lee location. Tastes more bland
Menya is a hidden gem for authentic Japanese ramen! This hole-in-the-wall spot serves rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that transport you straight to Japan. A must-visit for ramen lovers looking for an authentic experience!
I love their ramen.
