My wife and I come here probably 1 or 2 times a month. The special sushi rolls are phenomenal and the udon! I would recommend everyone to come and try this private own business!

WORST SUSHI EVER. Fish wasn’t properly fermented that it had no taste at all, even tuna or salmon. It felt as if I was chewing on plastic. Didn’t even finish the sushi and sashimi platter, the waitress asked if I wanted to take some home. No thanks! Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Only good thing is they let me take home the left over sake, which is first for me as well. Bottom line, whoever goes here doesn’t go for the fish but just a feel for fish. Or just colorful rolls which seems the only area they seem to be good at. Stay away.

This is normally the best sushi in town, I don’t know if you guys changed your chef over the last couple weeks but every roll that I’ve gotten for take out has been wrong or made incorrectly.

This place is amazing! My family and I drive all the way from Elizabeth to eat here and it’s worth the drive every time!! Their crunchy roll is simply amazing and the chicken teriyaki meal is great as well! The service is great and I highly recommend Picnic! Best sushi place in NJ!

I am very underwhelmed with the sushi here. Price is high for what it is. Location is nice. I wish the quality would match the location.

as my boyfriend and i are paying, the lady at the front was asking us if we’re going to remove our tattoos when we’re older, and was judging us so heavily for having them. it’s one thing to not agree with having tattoos and it’s another to make me so uncomfortable as i’m eating at YOUR restaurant. what type of customer service??? she could’ve kept her opinions to herself . It was my second and last time going. didn’t know i needed to not have tattoos to feel comfortable eating at a hole in the wall sushi place. The sushi is cheap because it’s mid. you get what you pay for. so many better places out there that are 1. more upscale 2. the sushi quality is better 3. wont make you feel uncomfortable -_-

Very good food, I enjoyed our selection of the all you can eat but was very turned off with their predatory charges for using a card. If you use a card, they charge $5 extra for each person. If that wasn’t enough, they then charge an additional 3.5% to the overall bill to use card. So just two people alone has to pay an additional $15 to use a card and about $30 for 4 people.
