Honest below par soup dumplings. We went later and I think the soup dumplings weren't great. Soup was absorbed to the outer shell, not much soup. Also it wasn't hot, slightly warm at best. Mappo tofu was very salty .

We have been eating at Shanghai since it opened. The food is fresh, authentic, light and overall very good. Simon greets us warmly each and every time we visit. I highly recommend!!

Great food just long wait times for a table due to being a busy place. So if you want dinner come early and expect to wait some time for a table.

Ordered delivery. The food was horrible, pretty tasteless and full of oil, had to trash it all. And we got food poisoning from it.

Please be considerate of delivery drivers time. We don't get paid to wait for order to be prepared when we arrive. Waited 10 minutes and you tell me to wait another 7 minutes? I wasn't the only driver waiting for more than 10 minutes. If you can't manage the orders you are getting then stop the orders. You are literally making drivers lose money for waiting for your order when it should have been already ready when drivers arrive.

We were looking for some general tso's chicken after a roadtrip and found this little restaurant. Dumplings and general tso are very recommendable. Affordable nice place and legit food. Would come again for

Eaten here countless times and tried mostly everything. My absolute favorite is the Sichuan spicy noodle soup. This will surely wake up your taste buds.

Food was absolutely delicious!!! Get the soup dumplings tooo good to pass up. We had the general tso with rice and omg best we’ve ever had. Super tasty, quaint little place, excellent value, good sized portions. Definitely a good little spot to check out.Parking: Free parking in the back, small lot but it was empty when we went, there’s plenty of metered street parking though.

Delicious ?. This seemed like a hole in the wall type of place. Small and parking is in the rear. Not a lot of tables. But the food. ?wow. It's probably the best soup dumplings I've had in a very long time. Fresh, not too thick, just enough broth and just so so good. I actually really enjoyed the server coming up and immediately pouring some tea at table side..it was a nice, like 'welcome' touch. Simple not overdone just helped make you feel welcomed. It was actually impressive that the tea was topped of every time without asking for a refill. Our table also tried the wonton soup. That was delicious. Loved the rice. I know it seems rice is rice - but rice isn't just rice.I definitely recommend if you are in the NJ area. I will come back when traveling to the northeast.

Phenomenal food, completely authentic, not like the typical fast food Chinese restaurant. Shanghai is the real deal! The owner Simon, has a turned this small spot into the best Chinese food in the area.

This little restaurant is a gem! Very competitive price and real authentic food. I'm a Taiwanese traveling from Seattle and I'm blown away by its delicious food. Definitely recommend whoever is traveling to NY with a car.

This place is amazing. The Beef pan udon is one of the best things on the menu. The soup dumplings are exactly how I like them. The spicy beef soup and garlic cucumbers are staples and always other dishes I add on. The main guy / owner Simon is caring, always there and on point, and will take care of you in any circumstance. He also remembers everyone’s name which is impressive and a plus. Try it out if you haven’t. You won’t regret it.
