One of the original soft tofu places in Fort Lee. Good place to eat. Service was good. Prices are decent. Portions were good. Tofu was good and soft, tasty. Small parking lot.

This restaurant has been terrific for years before soft tofu became popular with the general population. Still reliably delicious decades later.

I ordered a spicy pork lunch box for delivery, but when I started eating it, the meat felt unusually soft. When I checked more closely, I realized the pork was undercooked, as shown in the photo. I was unable to eat it and requested a refund, but my request was denied.
This is a serious health concern and could have put me at risk. Please make sure to check that the meat is fully cooked before eating when ordering from this restaurant.

You close at 10 not 9:30. We wanted take out. If you’re not going to service customers at 9:30 change your hours to reflect that and don’t waste peoples time!

The tofu soup here's the best part and really their main specialty, everything else is really just a side to that and the Ban Chon which is very simple and straightforward. Ribs more expensive over the years but also good.
Updated 3/27/22: they no longer do the rice or if a hot rice bowl, then the crispy rice after in the bowl with barley tea in it, which is disappointing since that was a great part of the meal. While they have expanded part of their menu, the prices have also gone up with a tofu soup at $14 now and the barbecue at $27. 6% off if you pay cash. And the cucumber appetizer is no longer as good, this batch was more sour and spicy versus the sweet and spicy in the past. Also had to wait about 25 minutes for the barbecue, so be aware of that when you order. The soup comes out a lot faster and we were almost done with that by the time the barbecue came out. Also in the mushroom tofu soup, they no longer put enoki mushrooms, probably due to cost. Same as of 9/16/2022. But BBQ came a lot faster.
Banchan today on 12/2 was too salty. Varies on batch I guess?
The banchan was good today 4/2/23, and ramen serving was large. The squid stir fry didn't have the rice cake this time? Cash has a 6% discount.
Rice cake included in the squid beokkye(?) this time. Delicious sides this time. 6/25/2023
Updated 10/5/2025 - they have the five sides for ban chan, and still very tasty, the menu seems to have grown a bit and the prices up a touch, too.
Updated 11/29/25: the ramen in the tofu soup is awesome, but watch the temperature, easy to burn yourself if slurping up the ramen and getting some tofu!

Best Korean food in Fort Lee in my opinion. I've tried almost everything on the menu at last once and never had anything I didn't like. The seafood pancake is especially good. Even during busy hours, you can usually get seated in less than 10 minutes.

Sokongdong is such a great spot for Korean food! Everything we tried tasted really good, and the prices are honestly amazing. We ordered a full table of dishes and the total was just a little over a hundred dollars — definitely great value. The service was also very friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The steak was especially delicious, and the other dishes were also solid. Overall, a wonderful meal for a great price!

I recently visited So Kong Dong in Fort Lee and had a good experience. Their tofu soup is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and comforting. I also tried the spicy beef soup, which had just the right amount of heat and paired perfectly with the rice. Both dishes were satisfying and felt like true Korean comfort food. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and the overall dining experience left me wanting to come back again. Definitely a spot worth revisiting if you’re craving hearty Korean soups!

This is my husband's and my favorite place to stop when are heading back to the Bronx from NJ. I think we have been going there for 10 or so years now. Everything is delicious and the people are so nice. We have also taken friends to eat here after Giants games and everyone loves it. Highly recommend. I especially love the LA BBG Galbi (ribs), japchae and the seafood pancake, but everything is so fresh and they are known for their soft tofu, so whatever you pick will be great!
