Me and my bf loves their lunch menu! When their dinner menu is more fusion, you can get more authentic Japanese meal during the lunch. Avoid Sunday because lunch menu is available Mon-Sat.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise our omakase dinner turned out to be! I have dined at this restaurant twice before and wasn’t impressed with the quality of the sushi served at the table but I decided to try their omakase. I am so glad we did. Fish selection and quality was great, fresh and beautifully presented. Rice was perfectly cooked. Appetizers were very creative and tasty. The chef was very friendly and professional, so was our server. And the desert…. So so good!I recommend their omakase experience to all the sushi lovers in the area, you will not be disappointed!

I’ve been to this place with friends, on a date night and with my two kids. The staff here are all amazing. May is so sweet and took such great care of us. Highly recommend the omakase flight, crispy rice, and rock shrimp. Everything is so good though but the prize goes to their Miso Cod- it is just phenomenal! So is their squid ink pasta!

Overpriced for the quality of sushi we got. I don’t understand the reviews raving about the freshness of the fish. The flavors of the cooked dishes are good but for the price, meh

Romantic and def a very high class experience but the food is not tasty. Def gourmet dishes! Sashimi was not fresh!

Excellent service and unique tasty appetizers. The octopus was a bit overcooked in my opinion but the sashimi flight was on point. A little pricey but not offensively expensive. A great spot to expand your Asian influenced dishes.

Omakase experience was great! 18 course, Fresh and quality fish. Also serving crown melon, an extremely sweet melon. Every piece had its own unique flavor. Our waiter was amazing, explained every piece uniqueness and extremely attentive.

Brought my mom and dad here for Mother’s Day, they absolutely loved it! So thankful a new kind of Japanese restaurant opened in this area. I’m so used to the two extremes of sushi in NJ aka either bad sushi for cheap or fantastic omakase for an arm & a leg. Soma is great because although they offer fantastic nigiri and sashimi flown in from Japan, they also offer other options for those who aren’t the greatest fans of raw fish like my dad. He ordered the rib-eye steak and WOW. It was a pleasant surprise! Don’t sleep on the steak option. Oh! Also, it’s clear they spent a lot of time curating the drink menu, check out the extensive sake list-yum! I’ll definitely be back for the grand opening :)

Lunched at SOMA during the soft opening. Firstly, the interior is contemporary and open. I ordered the maki set for $24. Awesome value and Wonderful presentation and quality sushi and ingredients. Rice was perfectly prepared in texture, temperature and taste. Also, they have a nice sake list. I had a bottle of KUBOTA, smooth and crisp. Head Chef was personable and knowledgeable. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Overall wonderful and delicious experience.

I had the opportunity to visit and try their tasting menu. The staff is very attentive. Great overall ambiance. And most importantly, the food was great. Don’t sleep on the brussel sprouts. Will definitely be back.

Wow. Highest quality fish I’ve had in a while - delicious tuna & salmon and the uni was melting in my mouth. Excellent sake and wine selections as well. We came during Mother’s Day and Soma was the perfect place to unwind in a chic atmosphere and enjoy delicious sushi. Highly recommend.

Dined in for lunch with my family on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a good variety with a bottle sake and got to taste a bit of everything. Everything tasted so fresh and presented beautifully. Staff was very friendly and helpful with orders. LOVED the interiors, so serene and beautifully designed. Overall, we had a great experience. Definitely, recommend for a date night or just a nice outing with family and friends.

Went here for the grand opening to celebrate a friends birthday and everything was excellent! The friendly staff, beautiful ambiance, elegant presentation, and delicious food made the entire experience. SOMA is definitely one of the few sushi spots in Fort Lee that offers great customer service and quality sushi. And as a pescatarian who doesn't eat dairy or eggs, SOMA does offer vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian options. On top of this, the staff was happy to accommodate my dietary restrictions and customize certain dishes. The brussels sprouts with no parmesan cheese is vegan friendly and to die for ?! Will definitely be back for more!

I love nigiri and theirs is the best in the area, especially the rice. Some place use the best quality fish, but quality of the rice does not match with the fish. Soma's rice is the best I've ever had.
