This is some of the worst food we've ever had. First, the owners attitude is nasty arrogant and obnoxious. It's an attitude that they are doing the customer a favor by allowing patrons to pay them for... let's be honest - simply awful food and service.
Examples:
The lemon sole smelled very fishy.
Not your mammas lasagna was NOT lasagna - just overcooked ribbon noodles with dry overcooked old meat sauce, as was the Rigatoni bolognese.
Grilled chicken was obviously reheated we suspect left over from the day or more before.
It wasn't busy so even that unacceptable excuse can't be considered.
Franklin Lakes deserves much better restaurants, this one is a -15 on the 10 point scale.
Do not waste your money at this establishment.

Consistently the ONLY restaurant we frequent on a regular basis. We'd probably eat here 3 times a week if we could. They always make an effort to accommodate us even when we don't have a reservation. And IMHO when a menu is as large as theirs, it's almost impossible for all of the dishes to be great. Pazza is the exception: I've had numerous pasta dishes, multiple entrees, a wide variety of apps, salads, and of course their pizzas. I've yet to order something that I didn't love. Food always comes out super fast, something that I value considering I have two small kids. The wait staff are always super sweet and helpful. Bottom line: we just love Pazza and hope that they never leave! And ps: get the burrata Pie. You're welcome :)

If you want to eat here, it doesn't matter what time or day you need a reservation. Outside seating is first come for a serve. There are a few dishes that could use some help but most are delicious. Note: they do not know how to make carbonora. Which makes me sad, because it's one of my favorite dishes.
There is one thing I have to say years ago, they had a bread machine. And the bread was out of this world. But now the bread is absolutely awful. Anybody can slice up packaged bread from a bakery and drizzle Olive oil on it. I know a few italian restaurants who serve the most outrageous bread. Pazza it does not.
Staff is cheerful, welcoming and they are good at what they do.
This is one of our favorite places.

Loud and sneaky owners. For the last 6 1/2 years they have had BYOB evidently last night they changed it to a caulking fee of $15 a table we made a reservation several days ago. They said they would take it off and then they sneaky put it back on again..
said, they’ve been telling people for the last month which is not true. We were there two weeks ago and had ordered from there three weeks ago and never mentioned it..
Even though we live in town, we will not frequent this place again. Stupid and poor business move on the part of the owner

Have been going to Pazza since they first opened. Safe to say, one of the best Italian restaurants. Consistency is key, and Pazza always succeeds in that aspect. Food is delicious, ambience is amazing, server did a fantastic job, zero complaints.
At the 2 person table, there was a 3rd ignorant lady sitting there in the booth part, making it uncomfortable for my partner as there is just not enough space. Staff realized this and immediately moved our table and gave us even more space.
Pazza takes care of their guests. Don’t get me started on their dessert… I love the graham slam, don’t ever get rid of it!
Bread is fantastic as well, loved the one you guys had before, but new one is just as good.
If you love meat, get the pappardelle short rib pasta, amazing!
Bring back the Sunday Gravy!!

This place is definitely 5/5 for food. We have been there several times and always tried different meals. Excellent pizza, feels like being in Italy. The reason I am leaving 2 stars is that they recently hired new chef and cacio e pepe is not what it suppose to be and what it was before. It's hard to find a place that knows how to make cacio e pepe correctly. This place used to make it exactly how it should be with three ingredients only pecorino, pepper and butter. Now it has lots of cream so it's more like Alfredo sauce with cacio e pepe flavor. Waitress tried to convince me that it was always liked that. I wasn't even complaining, it was more of question/statement that cacio e pepe is not what it used to be but she took offense.

Food was good & waiter was excellent. The last 20 minutes soured our entire evening. We had an 815 res & ready for dessert by 945. We were then told dessert was no longer available, except for gelato, & coffee would be served in to go cups if we cared for a cup. We were then given plastic cups for the rest of our beer & wine so they could take away our glasses so they could close up. Why take an 815 reservation to rush out so rudely? We will never be back.

Excellent pizza, and I say that as a bit of a pizza snob. Crust is the right blend of chewy and crunchy and on the thinner side which I particularly enjoy. They've got a lot of creative options to try so I guess I'll just have to come back with friends next time. Also I like how the stand to hold the pizza is just an empty can of tomatoes. Staff were friendly and very attentive, 10/10 recommend.

Excited to taste real “wood burning fire oven pizza” , very disappointed and let down when they primarily use gas oven with wood placed for show. This practice is misleading especially if the pizza is not actually cooked by burning wood, which imparts a distinct flavor and authenticity .
Do Not fall for this common deception, many others restaurants try to cut corners, but remember the wise quote QUALITY IS FREE.
Or you get what you pay for.

Found this place on the way home from picking up some compost in Franklin Lakes for my home garden. I have to say that the food is amazing. Today I picked up a turkey Bri sandwich an it really hit the spot! The sandwich is the perfect balance of sweet, salty, tangy, and crunch! The apple slices and fig jam mesh well with the Bri and turkey in the sandwich. The chips that are made In house are fantastic. Compliments to the chef. I’ll definitely be stopping here for seasons to come when I stop in Franklin Lakes.

Have not been in a while as we are snowbirds- pleasantly surprised by the new set up with booths. Adds a little bit of separation and noise reduction. What I was not happy about however was the portion sizes. They definitely cut the portions of the pasta so it looks like a half order but it’s a full-size order. Sweet pea pizza which we shared as an appetizer was absolutely delicious! Also enjoyed the brussels sprouts, though a bit sweet. My Veal Milanese was delicious but definitely smaller than it used to be. Our friends had ordered another pasta dish which was also small and the chicken Parm which was a decent size. Overall, I understand the times are changing and you either have to raise your prices or cut your portions, The pasta is pretty cheap, so that’s not where I would expect to see it. As a BYOB restaurant, I would still go back. My understanding is that they are expanding and getting a liquor license, that could definitely change how often we go in the future.
